3-1 Hutton. Lucky deflection, but scoreline looking more reflective of the game now.

Good result for Newcastle. Probably result of the day - Everton away is a hard place to go and win.

Hearing cast iron pen for Newcastle turned down, so looks like Kimbo was right on that.

Good win for Spurs always difficult to balance CL and league but you've got a pretty decent squad so hopefully you can keep up on both fronts. Glad VDV has found a home. Ale

Impressed with New Castle. Newcastle played very well during the first half and the level wasn't that great during the second half. Tiote is going to be a great signing, as Ben Arfa.

Heitinga in midfield really didn't work at all. Not sure he was even necessary defensively as Nolan's way of playing in the hole involves relatively little footballing. Maybe Moyes should move Arteta back out wide for a while?

Aside from Ben Arfa and Tiote, Enrique was excellent, Colocinni also had his moments. Everton could well have nicked a point though.

What a goal from Cesc Whistle

Unbelievably lucky, and there seem to have been a couple of goals like that recently in the league.

Sunderland have responded well, they ought to have equalised really. Had a soft shout for a penalty turned down, then missed a very easy chance from a header.

Heitinga this season is a huge disappointment, totally different player comparing him to last season.
If Arteta would be moved out wide who exactly should be played in centre midfield?

    Fabregas off injured. Rolling Eyes

Arsenal are looking really out of sorts since the goal. Wilshire is losing the ball in dangerous areas, our passing is off, and we're getting dominated in midfield.

Fortuitous goal and lead for Arsenal at half-time, but yet another injury concern (although Cesc didn't look too bad coming off). Chamakh has led the line well and Song is playing in a surprisingly advanced position again, but our passing has been poor and we are second to the loose ball nearly every time.

Sunderland deserve to be level (at least), but they are also playing at a far higher intensity. Hopefully they tire and start to lose their physical edge in the second half.

We look way off the pace today(probably 'cos of the midweek game).

I have a feeling Sunderland are going to equalise in the 2nd half Sad

Koscienly has been excellent so far - his best display to date.

Too many injuries each year. That's becoming pathetic! They should fire all the fitness crew just like Lyon did after half of the team got injured in a month.
