Roma 40-60 Shakhtar Donetsk
Shakhtar will be at the start of their season, so it depends on their physical level. I make them strong favourites though.
Roma will not be able to overcome the 2-3.
Roma 20-80
Shakhtar AC Milan 49-51 Tottenham Hotspur
If Nesta and Thiago Silva are fit, then it's Milan. If not, then Spurs have a great chance. We already know they're going to outdo Milan in terms of speed, physical effort, and running. If forced to make a prediction, I'm going for the upset.
Spurs huge favourites now. Milan just can't handle their pace and energy.
Milan 30-70
Spurs Valencia 49-51 Schalke 04
Tough one to call. Valencia are inconsistent this season, Schalke form has improved but will they be distracted by trying to get back on track in the league?
Still up in the air. Anything could happen in the 2nd leg, though I give Schalke the advantage thanks to their away goal.
Valencia 45-55
Schalke Internazionale 40-60 Bayern Munich
Great tie, anything could happen. Have to go with Bayern for now though.
Bayern are big favourites. Inter will have to attack much more in the 2nd leg, but Robben and Ribery can tear them apart on the break.
Inter 30-70
Bayern Lyon 30-70
Real MadridUnfortunately I just can't see a "Lyonazo" this time around
Yeah, Madrid are going through. They won't lose at home, and they're very unlikely to concede 2.
Lyon 30-70
Madrid Arsenal 30-70 Barcelona
Trying to be realistic and not arrogant, this should really be comfortable for Barça, esp. over 2 legs.
Bad result in the first leg for Barça. Need a huge performance and no injuries (or equivalent injuries for Arsenal, after the news on Cesc and Walcott).
Arsenal 49-51
Barcelona Marseille 25-75 Manchester United
Easy for Man. Utd. 0-0 in France, 1-0 at home.
As expected
Marseille 20-80
Manchester United Copenhagen 40-60 Chelsea
Copenhagen are a tough team to play against, but Chelsea will wrap it up in the 2nd leg at home.
Tie over, Copenhagen didn't show up in the first leg. Chelsea were too good.
Copenhagen 1-99
Chelsea Interestingly (or not), my predictions above mean all the group winners (and sides playing 2nd at home) would go through. That's highly unlikely to happen though, there's always 1 or 2 upsets. Let's hope it's not Barça
This could still come true! Has it ever happened before - all sides playing at home in the 2nd leg going through?
