Seven mins to get a leveller. Chamakh has done something useful for the first time in a long while.

Emlyn Begley reports: "Everton have named midfielder Tim Cahill up front, with Louis Saha, who is returning to full fitness, left out of the squad entirely. The France international responds on Twitter: "I am not good enough. #Absolutelydestroyed". Deadline day signings Denis Stracqualursi and Royston Drenthe are again left on the bench. Wigan hand a first Premier League start for the club to on-loan Chelsea defender Patrick van Aanholt, while fellow summer signings Shaun Maloney and David Jones remain on the bench.

TBH, Arsenal have been rubbish ever since Bergkamp retired. It has only got from bad to worse.
Also Arsenal needs to stop Germans....Merty should have scored.

Blackburn 4-3 Arsenal FT
A new low for Wenger, but there will be plenty more to come this season under his management.

Wenger was right .... a top four finish will feel like a trophy. Can't see it myself, I see us ending up in 6th-8th place.

Wenger shouldnt be saying things like that considering his track record in winning trophys lately.

Manchester Utd, Swansea, German team, Blackburn
Only one win, thanks to Vorm that was. GD: 6-13
Such a healthy club, with such a ridiculous board and coach.

Arsenal fans will rightly be disappointed, but spare a thought for the Swansea and Newcastle fans who for some reason didn't get their free lunch.

It would have me believing in miracles if this team can get in the top four. I'd be amazed if they get within 10 points of a CL place.

I thought Arsenal would have got something today, they are in big trouble i just cant believe they've conceeded 4 today to Blackburn, i thought the result in Dortmund wouldve given them confidence. I think the worrying thing is that this bad form has been going on since the end of last season. I wonder what Arsenal's record is over their last 20 prem games or so??? (obviously including last years EPL games)

Is it bad for me to say that we actually played fairly well today. Overall a performance showing that the team is getting used to each other. Just ridiculous defending, otherwise a positive performance. As rare as a Chamakh goal is, how about two amazing crosses from Walcott in a single game . Good midfield performance with Arteta and Song doing well.
I think we will sort out the defense. Two very unlucky own goals, offside goal and a wicked finish. It must be Arsenal, it has to get better soon!!

No disrespect but losing to that BB team is an absolute disgrace, fucking shambles!!!!!
Koscienly had a mare, misplaced some passes early on, head dropped and from that point was a liability throughout.
So that's now 3 losses already in the league.....Unfuckingbelievable! It's going to be a long season

League matches since the Carling Cup final:
DDDWDDLWLLDDLLWL
3 wins, 7 draws, 6 defeats
And that record is getting appreciably worse. Just one win and five defeats in the last 8 matches!

How were the own goals unlucky? The 2nd one especially...great play from the Blackburn player meant he couldnt do anything to stop it, it was forced on him..thats nothing to do with luck.

With Wenger in charge?
The 'offside' was too close to call mate. If any doubt the advantage should always go to the attacker. Good refreeing IMO.

Exactly what I feared would happen. Song's og was probably unlucky as he knew nothing about it when the loose ball him hit him on the thigh, but we lost composure after that and Koscielny's og was shambolic. Of course we haven't turned a corner, far from it and we should expect something like this with kind of changes we had this summer.4th place would be immense, unless we significantly strenghen in January. Otherwise, agree with Shaz that we played well in parts. Song on form again - I suppose he was taken off for Chamakh on the basis we might as well look for goals. Arteta faded in 2H again. Sagna better be back soon - we just can't have Djourou in defence.

The 1st one was completely random. The 2nd one wasn't forced. He wasn't cutting out a cross that would have been tapped in by a forward putting pressure on him. I think Koscienly thought the GK would have got it so didn't expect it to get to him. Poor from Koscienly and he should defend like the ball was coming through to him but it wasn't inevitable.christmasborocooper wrote:shazlx wrote:Is it bad for me to say that we actually played fairly well today.
