I dislike him but you can't ban somebody for a perceived lack of empathy, or the fact he supports 12 teams and refers to himself and the team as 'we'.
I feel disgusted saying this, but you can't ban him.

It obviously has no respect or decency whatsoever. It is either the thickest dipshit on the face of the earth or an utterly contemptible wum with no boundaries of decency. Either way it is not worth bothering with. Starve it of the thing it craves - attention. Ignore it MB. Everyone can see it for what it is now. It just looks for arguments. Starve it of attention and it will get bored and go away eventually if it is ignored.

It's difficult to ignore someone who is making as much posts these days as rest of us together. Just ban him. It's a football forum, you don't need a very good reason to do it, being despised by majority of posters is enough.

Re: Petition to ban worms
So year-on-year persistent personal vitriol, aggression and bullying is absolutely fine, yet someone who acts like a bit of a laughable idiot (and is often difficult to take seriously) should be expelled from this already sparse forum. Right.
People who are genuinely that worked up about the Muamba ignorance/insensitivity (and even I was shaking my head a little) need to turn their outrage button down a touch. I know it's fashionable to take offence these days, but really.
Alway better in my view to take the attitude "there's no such thing as a stupid question" than to react rudely – it's what annoys me about the language site/forum I use (leo.org). I second the views of Bernd and Fey wholeheartedly

Re: Petition to ban worms
Through my Berlin-induced hangover, I've been able to take stock of everything.
You can't just ban somebody for being a twat. If this board could put up with Saints at his most aggressive, Lrd & Glenn at their most sociopathic, and the likes of DiCanio, then we can survive worms. If anything, he's embarrassed himself on the whole Jarque & Puerta situations, claiming to be such a big La Liga fan and everything=, so his credibility is ruined and we can take anything he says with a pinch of salt.

No need for a ban. Let him continue to embarrass himself.
Personally I thought it was hilarious when he stupidly thought EMP was going to sue him. Even now he makes jokes about EMP sueing people, not realising that he was the one that was being an idiot and that EMP had been perfectly clear in what he had written

The concept of the "internet troll" is an ever increasingly interesting one. There is a programme about is on BBC3 tonight, "The Anti Social Network". Watch it Allez if you can as I'll be interested in your thoughts on the subject.
Whilst it goes without saying some of the shit written by anonymous identities on the internet is abhorrent, it makes you wonder if the problem is compounded by the overly PC / faux outraged socierties most of us live in. But then again, if a father sets up a facebook remembrance page for their dead son for example, do they have to just accept / ignore the inevitable idiots who leave inflammatory comments on there as "free speech", or is there legitimate grounds for arresting these people?

There's far worse than trolls at work on Muamba. There's been at least one arrest in South Wales for a hateful tweet and at least one truly disgusting user-name on yahoo, along with a despicable message. As for Worms, I'm completely ignoring it from now on - too busy celebrating Valencia's glorious win in Bilbao. May even crack open apertici to continue tonight. Regarding Worms, I've wasted more than enough time on it. No need to ban it, but I'm not interested in ever conversing with it again. Others can if they want to.

I don't really understand how people can write sick stuff like that about Muamba or any one for that matter. I don't understand racism either. I know it exists but I can't understand it. It's one thing not to have any empathy for a situation like Muamba's but to go out of your way to abuse him really worries me; these sorts of people need some kind of education.

Well, it hasn't aired yet so I'll reserve judgement.
However, one of the known stories on they are going to discuss is the one about Tom Mullaney:
http://www.birminghammail.net/news/top-stories/2011/03/06/internet-trolls-try-to-find-ways-to-torment-parents-of-hanged-bournville-teenager-97319-28289408/
Now, I'm all up for freedom of speech, but when a bunch of people purposefully target the remembrance page of a dead 15 year old kid to mock his death and his family, I'm of the opinion that freedom of speech is merely an excuse being used to cause psychological torment. Thus, I'd be well up for seeing these people identified and then letting the kid's dad administer his own justice

In the meantime, if anyone wants to see some of the finest trolls at work since the Muamba incident, check this out :

You realize that program is made for brainwashing the general public to accept internet censorship right?
And I knew 10% would post something here,it was only a matter of time,if I could be arsed I would read his last 100 posts then calculate what percentage of them are about me or directed to me,I'm guessing it will be a lot more than 10%
Like usual I have supported you but I don't get any appreciation
My recent posting is probably directly related to how often I have pointed out mistakes in your persona (e.g. supporting a Russian team in the 2nd division) or your stupidity (numerous examples such as the conspiracy theories).
It is all to help you learn so you get it right next time
We haven't been in the 2nd division since 1996 and I didn't start supporting us until the early 2000's.
What is wrong with supporting a Russian team in the 2nd division anyway? Isn't that allowed
