Newcastle have had good luck with decisions ever since Dennis Wise famously urinated in all four corners of St James' Park.

That was criminal defending. Distin could have cleared that if he was 2-footed.
Cissé and Ba can't score in the same run of games it seems - either one or the other.

Wow, one hell of a game, though unfair to Everton.
The ref was, well, let's say on pair with the best referees in La Liga, and that says something.

I was out having a German, but fortunately the game was on in the eathausen. We were shite, so a point is an acceptable result. The decision not to buy any defenders in the summer is proving to be a wise one, we were rock solid.

Oberton refused to come on in injury time?

Kimbo spent the whole summer telling everyone what a big dick he has, while refusing to show anyone. Now the season proper has started he's had his pants pulled down to reveal a hideous micropenis.

We'll see what happened. There aren't many players I care less about. He could go back to france, or see if a relegation battler will take him. Newcastle will be as good as it gets for him(minus Man U).

I'm disappointed with how we've started, although in terms of points it is an acceptable start. Still though, could be worse, eh? Glenn, eh?

It's better to be at the bottom of a ladder you want to climb than to be a Geordie with a hideous micropenis.

Fellainis goal wasn't offside either .
Everton were the victims of a horrific injustice today. Keeping up scouse traditions.

Fellaini was lucky to stay on the pitch after that studs up challenge.

We were fortunate to take a point given how poor we were in the first half, and given Everton's two wrongly disallowed goals - though both were difficult decisions for the linesman to make, and the second was mitigated a little by the more blatantly wrong and dishonest decision the referee made moments later in pulling Ben Arfa back for Pienaar's infringement.
We were better this evening when we changed to a 4-4-2 at half-time, but as much as anything that was because we lumped the ball long so often throughout the game: I fervently believe we have the most potential, and will do well in more games, playing a 4-3-3, but if we are going to aimlessly lump the ball up the pitch it's obviously preferable to have two players chasing it, one who can latch on to a second ball, rather than allowing an often aerially-inferior forward to battle against an entire defence with no support in sight. Ba played really well when he came on, and we were also much better with Perch in the midfield and Anita at right-back, with Jonas ahead of him. Anita seems technically competent and mobile, but he doesn't seem to have a great sensibility for playing in the centre of midfield; whereas Perch looks more comfortable playing in a central position.
I don't think, at this point, any of our players have anything to be hugely unhappy about. It is difficult to know whether Ba plays well sometimes because he ought to, because he's a capable football player paid well to play for a good club, or because he'd like to move wherever in the future for a good signing-on fee. Obertan should be playing for a second-tier side in France.
