Was absolute shite defending. Why has the ball been allowed to come in, why has Robinson left his man and allowed him a free header?

Oldham
Norwich & QPR yesterday and the three teams today have made our last minute loss to Millwall almost respectable. (not Bradford though )

The contributions on the BBC live report have been almost as entertaining as the upsets today. There are some tremendously stupid people out there.

Re: FA Cup 5/6/7 January 2012
Torn by today's result.
On the one hand, always quite liked Leeds so not to disgruntled losing to them today (+ one less distraction this season - would prefer Spurs to concentrate on getting in top 4 and Europa League)
On the otherhand, it's hard to quantify in words my disdain for El Hadji Diouf and Neil Warnock as human beings. Knowing they ll be celebrating tonight is a sobering thought.

Worst defeat of Rodgers' tenure so far. Wrong formation and rubbish defenders.

Literally every attacking player plus Rodgers was having a go at him when he took that shot.
We would have had Everton at home as well FFS

Coates and Robinson won't be near the team for a while I don't think. Borini is Rodgers' Torres so expect to see him playing.
Really disappointing defeat today. Only Suarez, Sturridge, Allen and Gerrard can be proud of themselves.

Dullest draw I can remember. Not a single close tie in there.
It's a shame that the Leeds result is shared amongst the great shocks of this round. But IMO this is how a Leeds-Spurs game should end. Out of all the pretender clubs (Villa, Spurs, Everton etc) Leeds was the bestest, and the one that played the best football for neutrals. Hope they come back to the EPL soon, great supporters as well.
Oh, Liverpool
Losing to a team that has this as recent record!
Not even Villa would be pleased by this.

Yep, I'm pleasantly surprised by that! I really thought the games played today (in particular) would be easy wins for the top teams.

Re: FA Cup 5/6/7 January 2012
I always knew Leeds at home would be a tough game. They knocked out Man United in this same competition only a couple of seasons ago.
With Diouf, Warnock and Michael Brown knocking about, was hardly going to be a hospitable tie. They were, as expected, playing like it was their Cup final.
I'd prefer to lose to Leeds than Oldham.
Today was also stonewalled proof why Lloris is our number one. Friedel completely anchored to his goal line for both their goals. No attempt to close the angles or sweep up behind the high line.

If you thought the last draw was dull. Boro-Chelsea prob the most interesting:
Huddersfield/Leicester v Wigan
MK Dons v Barnsley
Oldham v Everton
Luton v Millwall
Arsenal v Blackburn
Manchester City v Leeds
Manchester United v Reading
Middlesbrough v Brentford/Chelsea

Oldham v Everton is a great tie - Joe Royle, Graham Sharpe, Earl Barrett, Stuart Barlow, Jose Baxter - lots of links betwen the 2.
'boro v Chelsea is a good one too.
If these ties were at Stamford Bridge and Goodison they would be shit so a good draw.
Hopefully Millwall will rip Kenilworth Road to pieces.

If the police and FA had learned from what happened there, rather than assuming it was just Millwall hooligans maybe the deaths of Liverpool fans at Hillsborough could have been avoided.

Seriously just resign Wenger. Classic February from Arsenal, gonna get batter by Bayern on Tuesday, then lose to Spurs in 2 weeks, and its lights out on our season again.

'' We dominated the match and were a little bit unlucky not to have scored.I cannot fault the performance or the mental strength of the team. Our season is far from over, there are two more trophies left that we have a big chance of winning. Gervinho had a good match.''
Well, at least Bentley didn't score.
I agree. We are going to be slaughtered by Bayern on Tuesday.
Edit: I think it's better this way though, that after Tuesday there will be no illusions about winning trophies, because we never will under AW again. Just the bottom line - fourth place - to protect, and if he can't do that then something has to give.

Re: FA Cup 5/6/7 January 2012
Who needs the FA Cup? As Wenger says, get past Bayern and we can go on and win the CL!
Out of the domestic cups to Bradford and Blackburn, what an embarrassing season this has been. I guess it'd been a good month without a humiliation, so we were probably due one. No doubt the wait for the next humiliation will be much shorter seeing as we have Bayern up next.
PS. We need to find a way of stopping Mike Dean refereeing our games, the man is a jinx!
