I've just seen this. Has Moyes always been a whining twat or is he just desperately trying to fill Ferguson's seat hole?

I don't know why he's surprised, the guy who used to do the fixtures has retired.

This is the first hard start United have had in a good ten years or so. Moyes has always whined about something (lack of money, players diving whilst Phil Neville was a major culprit and Fellaini uses his elbow 8 times a season) so expect a lot more if things don't go United's way early on.

In Suarez's absence we still managed to beat teams 6-0 with the likes of Borini and Sunderland legend Jordan Henderson scoring so he can bite all he likes.

I said I didn't think Andy Murray would win a grand slam, about 6 years ago. OMFG the embarrassment.

The only embarrassing thing here is that Liverpool fans seem ignorant to the slope they are on, it'll make the journey all the more fun for the rest of us though.

Yeah Liverpool fans definitely don't think the club has declined since 09, we only finished 7th twice and 8th after finishing second

I was very dignified in congratulating Murray. I don't like to blow my own trumpet but i'm right more than most on here, there is a reason I was so dominant in the premier league predictions competition.

Remember the bet you had with Little Lewis? Your endless Newcastle > Spuuuurs arguments with TWERP and Brown Dignity™ and you keep getting caught with your trousers down but claim these 'predictions' don't count because you made them 'in the past'

Often? You people have noted 2 occasions that i've been wrong.

On Liverpool my opinion is the only logical one, currently the club is rich as it still has a global fanbase, but it still isn't rich enough to achieve it's ambitions or build a new stadium. So what do you think the future is? Year after year outside of the top competition means foreign fans will lose interest, and the top 5 will continue to pull away financially, and it will only get worse when Spuuuuuuuurs get their new ground.

I also see similarities between Liverpool's fall and Newcastle's, both clubs dropped out of the top 4 and shot their wad on mediocrity in a desperate attempt to get back in there. We bought Owen, Luque, Boumsong, you bought Downing etc. But both clubs had horrible managers(Souness and Dalglish) and set themselves back years with these spending spree's. Now both clubs are owned by people that would sell if they could find a buyer.

you could say the same about Arsenal, Man Utd or Spurs. There are only 2 clubs in the league that could guarantee success over the next 5 years.

Comparing Liverpool to Newcastle is silly. The prestige of Liverpool is on a different level. Even while in decline it's only the league title that's evaded them. 2 Champions League finals, League and FA Cup Finals and trophies, a fixture in the CL knockout rounds until recently.

Compare to Newcastle.... what? 1 appearance in the Champions League knockouts and FA Cup runners up 15 years ago. 

Similarities? Liverpool have never finished outside the top 8, and win trophies regularly. Newcastle last won a trophy in the 1960's and had a couple of good seasons in the Premier League era but shit the bed every time they have more than one competition to focus on.

There is no comparison to be drawn, you're not even the same species. There is the Elite and Establishment, and there are The Upstarts and Pretenders. A bad season for Liverpool would be a good one for Newcastle.
