Suarez certainly wouldn't be an automatic pick if we didn't have so many injuries. Looked really rusty. 

Kelly too, looked a shadow of his former self. Understandable that Rodgers has preferred Toure, who was better today.

Quite liked the 3-5-2. Don't tell Brian.

I don't know what's worse - the fact that we haven't scored in the second half of any game this season yet or the fact that a David Moyes second string team managed to beat our first team.

I thought the occasion and adrenalin might have helped Suarez but inevitably he just wasn't sharp whatsoever. Sturridge and Gerrard were in well need of a rest but we couldn't afford to because we haven't got any decent enough players to come in for them. Alberto and Aspas - Jury is massively swinging towards guilty for me right now. It's very early but if Alberto can't be trusted to start or play any part at all then what does that say about him? Aspas looks like a wilder version of Borini. It's a shame because those 3 players put together cost about 22 million.

We're missing our injured players but the squad hasn't improved much, if at all and that is worrying for me.

Hopefully get back on track once Suarez regains that sharpness and the injured players come back but all the positivity is starting to dwindle a bit.

Arteta and Bendtner will be fitter too.

Actually analysing Bendtner's performance is probably a waste of time as it's far more fun to indulge in #spurzbantz, but did quite well in his all round play. And only missed one sitter. An improvement says I.

Chuba Akpom is going to be a beast. 17. Already 6 ft. Pacy, athletic, strong (black). And with decent technique too. The English Benteke(/Heskey - we'll find out)

Yeah Akpom looks like he's worth the hype.

Olsson was an unknown to me - he looked very impressive IMO
