Before you all start banging on about Christian Erektion, remember he already proved his doubters wrong in the home game vs Norwich.

    We were warned. Rolling Eyes
And Fey, if he's so inconsistent; how do you explain his consistently mediocre form since?

    Burned you.

Absolutely brilliant from Krul - congrats Kimmy Ale

Remy Magic yeah we made the wrong decision when signing a striker. Soldado isn't a Prem forward.

Deserved it for only playing 45 mins in truth - still that was probably our best 45 mins in a while.

AVB is a right arrogant biscuit not playing Lamela at all.

Glad we didn't get Eriksen, very average player.

Jonty Leibowitz: (external) I'd block a week wages

Very makeshift looking defence from Man City. Don't think any of these would start in an all-fit-and-firing scenario.

I felt most of the saves Krul made were from shots that were right at him him.

Soldaldo isn't a top quality lone forward. If he was partnered with another CF with presence who could dominate defences, I think he would be a very reliable goal scorer.

Most of Spurs shots were pretty ambitious and straight forward, there was some excellent saves though, the one from the deflected freekick was absurd.

I felt most of the saves Krul made were from shots that were right at him him too too. But you have to be in the right position to save the shots that are right at you you, otherwise they go in. He also gets up well and when he makes saves he directs the ball to safety, which is important.

To be fair, majority of Kruls saves were near enough to him. And so he just parried many back into play. Should have been punished at least once for that.

Not a bad performance overall, second half was very good, minus the finishing. Not as hopeless as the Wham loss. Still a long way to go this season, glimpses that the team is starting to settle.

Think he would be in the right team. Spurs will always try and play from the flanks whereas Soldado needs it played through the middle. For City or for us or Arsenal I think he'd be brilliant as you'd have Silva, Coutinho and Ozil playing those balls through for him.

I think he could be a great partner for either Saurez or Aguero (or Negredo) but at Arsenal he would be by himself and have the same problems he does at Spurs. We don't keep possession as well as we used to and he himself doesn't seem like he can battle against even one good CB and regularly bring the ball down and lay it off. Something that we are very dependent on.

You say shitty, I'm going to say desperate and unimaginative. Though it was better in the 2nd half today.

I think maybe they should try play Eriksen in CM next to Sandro. Play Townsend on the left and Paulinho in the right with Lamela/Holtby in the middle behind Soldado.

They really need better FBs too.

When you look at the status and talent of each club, of course not. But Sunderland is very much their bogey team and they have as bad away record in the PL so far.

Every win is the highlight of the guys career, he's very excitable.

He's had similar games before, most notably in his debut at against Palermo back in 2006. If he puts his injury issues behind him he'll be one of the best around.
