Nah, when United, Arsenal, City or Chelsea play on ITV against lower league teams it's never as bad as it just was then. They went on and on and on and on about a nothing shirt pull in the box by Kelly when that goes on in nearly every game nearly every week and no pen is given. They made it sound like we were getting dominated all game when second half we controlled it and were always comfortable and made some player who was none existent MOTM for their team for some reason.

If it had been United they'd of been too busy fapping over Januzaj to big up the under-dog.

Certainly happens in Liverpool's opponent's box every week. Skrtel is the worst in the league for it.

Not surprised about Alberto. The guy was all hyped up playing for Barcelona B but he had proven nothing in terms of top flight football was concerned. Aspas, I'm a little more surprised. I don't think his qualities match up to EPL football as well as some other Spanish players who have gone to England in the last few years but you'd think against Bournemouth he would be good enough to get a run out.

In his few games Alberto has been ok; nothing special and certainly not this Aquilani mark II that a lot of Liverpool fans have the idea he is. When I say that I mean he's hyped to fuck because he doesn't play - usually the less you play at Liverpool the more highly you're rated like Pacheco, Aquilani, Assaidi, Allen and Borini.

It seems strange to me that we spent 7 million on him, clearly have weaknesses in midfield but he isn't even risked against League One fodder. Either he's not doing it in training or Rodgers simply doesn't rate him over Gerrard, Allen, Lucas and Henderson.

Aspas doesn't really deserve to start - you could argue he might have got in the team ahead of Moses but then Moses did pretty well (though I think his attitude is awful, e.g walking straight down the tunnel today rather than clapping the fans who had travelled 6 hours to get there.) Aspas has had several chances and never looked even slightly good enough, he can't shoot, can't score, can't pass and seems to get in the way. I'm no big fan of Borini but even he's looking useful at Sunderland this season.

The fact remains we had a rubbish summer transfer window - we spent about 30-35 million and have nothing to show for it - Mignolet was a good buy and had to be made. Sakho cost a lot of money and the jury is still out on him. Illori has never played for us but cost 6 million. Alberto and Aspas I've already mentioned.

Despite this we have got ourselves into a good position this season; we're 4th. This window was the ideal time to go out and capitalise on United being in disarray, Spurs still finding their feet, Everton having no money. We've done nothing but haggle over Salah who is now going to go to Chelsea over a few million pounds. This isn't the first time we've missed out on top targets - Willian and Mkhytaryan come to mind. We have no bollocks in the transfer window and are walked all over by the sides above us. Realistically Mata probably wouldn't want to join us but why not at least bid? We're in a better position than United at the moment - there's nothing to suggest they're more likely to finish in a Champions League spot ahead of us (not until they signed Mata).

For some bizarre reason we haven't managed to replace Masherano or Alonso and we've had 5 years to do this.

If we don't qualify for the CL this season, and there is/was no better time, then kiss goodbye to Suarez and probably in time Sturridge and Coutinho too. With Gerrard on the verge of retiring we'll be left with no leaders and no threat. But as long as we're commercially stable it's all ok I suppose hey Mr Ayre and Mr Henry.

You are always so full of positivity Luis 😘

I agree with a lot of what you say but still, Agger, Sahko and Allen returning in a few days will make a big difference. Beat Everton and we are favourites for 4th imo.

Aspas and Alberto is money down the drain again, we'll recoup about £7m for both of them. They always were pointless transfer when we already had Borini and Suso in the squad, both of whom are now on loan

Apparently Chelsea's stadium anouncer openly mocked Stoke's relatively small travelling support.

'Welcome Stoke Fans. All 700 of you. Less than 10% of your allocation'

No doubt the tickets were extremely cheap, and of course travel prices are coming down each year.

Definitely worth mocking those who didn't want to pay 100quid plus for a 4th round game they will lose.

Classy stuff as always from Chelsea.
