Kuyt : I started out as LB, then RW and finally second striker (apparently all these options were known by the whole team beforehand, maybe LvG really knows what he's doing)...

LvG : de Jong has a groin injury, I think he's out for the tournament. I had to take a risc on BMI, wasn't planning on playing him more than 30 minutes...

It wouldn't be impossible if European teams weren't so poor. It's not 6-2 out of nothing.

Anyway, if Europe wins the WC that's what matrers. And I think Holland will do it.

No, but it will still be fun to watch Man Utd fans trying to enjoy counter attacking football. One of my best mates (man utd fan) has been a very vocal critic of catenaccio, always claiming that Man Utd will never play that way because its not their way... I can't wait to catch some games with him next season Smile

But you know that it's first time ever van Gaal decided to use counter attack football as his main philosophy (don't remember his Alkmaar team though)? There's nothing suggesting that he will go the same route with Manchester United. I am not saying he won't, but for now it's a new thing for him, not a standard.

Also, historically Van Gaal is much more attacking minded coach than Ferguson, so I'm not sure what this United fan was talking about disliking Catenaccio.

Greece have shown more than before, Costa Rica less....

Costa Rica has still the benefit of the doubt, but I don't think I can be bothered to watch the 2nd half of this : pretty crap match, probably also because of the heat ?

They were, that said, they didn't have to rely on help from officials like some teams.

    missed a day.

Colombia  Blush delighted for them to win and delighted that the Urgie c**ts were sent home

Netherlands with the kind of win that makes you think they can win the whole thing (though same can be said for Brazil with the Chile match - that crossbar in the 119th minute  Exclamation ).

this one is a bit underwhelming but could definitely see Greece getting equaliser and winning in ET. Bryan Ruiz & Georgios Samaras are long-lost footballing twins.

Holland can be the first non-Latin country to win a WC since 1990. The same goes for Germany.  Ale
