Since then very encouraging in terms of pressing and cohesion. Final third difficult against a such a good counter attacking team like Liverpool able to sit back and break being one up so early. Work clearly still to be done to finesse that area, but otherwise th energy and organisation are light years an improvement on last year.

That's a penalty call not given because he is not a little guy. Need much better corner taking also.

The penalty seemed to swing it psychologically. We are still frail in that regard. The improvement is there, but will take time. Liverpool are a very good side even without Suarez. So well organized. Counter attack you to death. No surprise that when Sterling went off they seemed to run out of stream going forward. He will be key for them. An incredible outlet when you need to break quickly.

Comfortable win against a Europa level club. If we can continue to dispatch of the teams outside the top 4 and then get a few wins vs our rivals we will do well.

Think the first goal hit us harder to be honest, Liverpool attack with such great speed and we got hurt hard last season from them.
Could see the nerves setting in after that goal - even from Lloris who looked very shaky.

The Allen dive and penalty won them the game and ensured the big goal difference, could easily have been a 1-1 game without it.
But we definitely have stuff to work on, first of all mentally.
Liverpool on same points with us now, will be a tough fight for the CL spots. Them, us and Villa
