Well he's one of the best.

“There are two types of coaches. There’s coaches like me who weigh up the opposition and ask the team to adjust. Fergie was similar. Jose [Mourinho] is similar. Then there’s Arsène, who won’t adjust. There’s Brendan [Rodgers], who looks like he won’t adjust. There’s Manuel Pellegrini, who looks like he won’t adjust, even in the Champions League. He seems to favour what he’s got. City are quite open.

“Their [Wenger/Rodgers/Pellegrini’s] philosophy is different to ours. Ours is more about who are we playing against. Their philosophy is more, ‘We always play this way’, and they won’t change, they carry doing on the same thing. That’s why you can beat them. "

It's cute that Dickanio is being swept away in his team doing a classic- smaller -club -doing -really -well until -Christmas phase. Enjoy it while you can like Blackpool, Hull and Swansea fans before you.

In terms of us I'm expecting another abject display tomorrow where we offer little attacking threat and probably concede a few set pieces.

I'd rather see a similar team to the one that played midweek than the likes of Balotelli, Johnson and Gerrard starting but we all know that isn't going to happen.

Oh look, Johnson and Lovren come in for Manuillo and Toure despite the latter two being great in Madrid.

No Lallana again. Balotelli as a lone striker.

Only positive is that Can keeps his place.

Decent performance but Chelsea are going to score again - not sure I can say the same for us. Lallana on for Henderson would be my change.

It was handball but I loved the attempt to justify the Pool handball in the 1st half "he was trying to make himself smaller and that's why it wasn't a penalty"

What player tries to make themself smaller when blocking a cross? Very Happy

    That was shoulder quite clearly.

Cahill literally made a save like a goalkeeper but as I said you don't get that vs Mourinho.

Rodgers really has done a great job destroying this team

All he needed was to spent on two proven stars and he bought a load of average to good players instead.

I knew we'd lose when I saw Gerrard starting. Our early goal was down through the adrenaline and once it wore off Chelsea controlled the game and Rodgers of course helped with his appalling substitutions. Instead of fixing the mistake, instead of removing the trash in midfield he kept it the entire game. Rodgers out. It's been obvious he's lost the team.

There's a common misconception amongst modern day football fans that questioning a manger's decisions means you want him out.

    Kimmy wants Pardew out.
    Chinster wants Wenger out.

There's a clear difference between their constant abusive comments towards those men and Liverpool fans questioning why Rodgers is still playing the likes of Gerrard, Johnson and Balotelli when they clearly aren't working.

Rodgers almost won the title for us last season with a poor squad - that wasn't a fluke.

This summer it looks like something went very badly wrong right now and the pressure on him is causing him to make some silly decisions both tactically and personnel wise.

But Rodgers out? No chance from me.

Rodgers promised us that Liverpool wouldnt "do a Spurs", because they had a strategy.

We finished 3points worse off the season after losing Bale. Currently, Liverpool have less points this season than they did at the same stage under Hodgson.

Ergo, Rodgers will be lucky to even "do a Spurs" this year, the silly bastard. Notice he mentioned us AGAIN today, as if their performance against us has any bearing on their current run of form. I have nothing against Liverpool, but Rodgers himself has proven to be an insufferable tool, would give me pleasure to see him get sacked.
