It is remarkable how easy it has been to rattle Barcelona. I can see them dropping points again but then again Atletico+Real have Cl which is sure to distract as well. If they had begun this collapse just a couple of weeks before I think we could have overtaken them. Those easy draws away from home hurt us bad.

After 2:0 win at Valencia Villarreal secured 4th position in Primera Division. Amazing season... and it can get even better on Thursday Wink

Marcelino went for weakened line up. but team played surprisengly well. Rodri looks like another decent CM prospect, he is actually from Atletico's cantera, but was released in 2013 due to the "lack of physical strength" (according to Wiki).

Where is Jaime when you need him to open a new transfer thread for La Liga?  Grr

As expected Villarreal will lose Denis Suarez back to Barcelona, but it's great to buy Cheryshev back and sign him for 5 years.

Cheryshev & Bakambu on the counter should make opposing team very, very worried.

Also, Diego Llorente is rumoured to be loaned to Villarreal for 16/17 season to provide more cover at CB.

I will miss Bailly, but selling him for around 30m pounds was a no brainer, he was not even the best CB for Villarreal last season (Victor Ruiz was).

Villarreal continues to goes more defensive - Alfred N'Diaye should form a reall impenetrable duo with Bruno in their 4-4-2, even if there are some rumours about him playing as CB as well. Tomas Pina was sold to Brugge, so he should be a serious upgrade. Apparently he developed quite nicely from his Sunderland time, I didn't watch Betis lasy year even once though.

Diego Llorente joined Malaga instead. Villarreal now seems to pursue Daniele Rugani, but looks like it will be very difficult.

AC Milan is trying to get Musacchio. I don't mind him leaving, but what's the point of selling him there if they offer much less than clubs from Premier League.
