Yeah plating playing well, though the defence looks dodgy as ever. Not sure why Kane is taking corners either, not like he's a crossing specialist..

So far the most positive performance by England in over a decade in international cups. They still lack the finishing touch but it is quite promising and I'm glad to see that Rooney is thriving in a deeper role. Sterling seems to ineffectual but otherwise most players are making a contribution.
Russia looked very capable for the first part of the half so this can still go either way unless England starts being more clinical.

Do agree on the finishing, Kane wasn't what I'd hoped. Midfield was good, I enjoyed Dier's performance.

Once Dier scored and the celebration ended the writing was on the wall. Sitting back and absorbing pressure becomes impossible for us. Deadly finishing would of changed everything.
