Ballack had more shots than Lampard so that means Lampard>>>Ballack.
Also a World Cup is only 7 games at most
How many goals and assists did Pigclimber get in the Bundesliga last season? Or the CL?
Lampard had over ten assists and 14 goals in the EPL
back at ya blut

Allow me to retort....
How many of Lampards goals were penalties last season?
Plus, at the World Cup, Ballack played more games than Lampard....and he scored his crucial penalty.

LOL...to what lenghts England supporters go to belittle German players, it's mind-boggling. Not even flinch from bringing Lampard as an example, the same Lampard 99.999999% of them want out of the national team, the laughing stock of international football.
I posted a couple of stats earlier Tweedle, no need to repeat myself. You keep Lampard, we keep Schweinsteiger, and everybody will be happy. I know I will.

Thats right, because the initial post on this thread was not a German supporter trying to belittle "EPL fanatics"
Ok, You keep Schweini, we'll keep our Under 21's, and Walcott in particular who has already embarrassed your supposed highly rated emerging goalkeeper and next generation defence. Twice. And he's not even 18 yet

The fact I decided to use Lampard as an example surely shows you how poor the state of German football is at present

In the EPL last season Lampard scored 16 goals - 4 were penalties.

heaven forbid i actually defend lampard but came across this today in the guardianTweedledum wrote:@ isar

"I know Chelsea's winner at Reading on Saturday went down as an Ivar Ingimarsson own-goal, but it begs the question: just how many of Frank Lampard's goals are deflected?" asks Adam Walkden.
This is a tricky one to answer comprehensively, Adam, as the, ahem, extensive Guardian Unlimited library doesn't include 'Lampard: the West Ham Years', so we were unable to research his output at Upton Park.
But we have done the necessary on Lampard's five-and-a-bit years at Stamford Bridge, and are surprised - and disappointed - to report that only six of his 73 goals for Chelsea have been deflected: a miserable 8%. If you take away penalties, that rises to just under 10% (six out of 62). Either way, it would seem that Lampard's deflected glory is not as great as the nation's many Frankophobes would have you believe. Still, he's getting better: none of the deflections came in his first two seasons at Stamford Bridge.

Or horrendous acne. Depends how familiar one's country is with Clearasil. Judging from recent photos of Poldi and Schweini, I guess there's a niche there in the market

How did Walcott embarass Rensing? What exactly could he do about the goals? He had some excellent saves, especially in the first match. England can only dream about having a goalie like him, and he is just one of our great future prospects on his position.
It's quite rich from you guys to point the finger at German goalies, after that Robinson disaster. I heared some actually want to reactivate Seaman again.

Its cos the state of German football has been so bad post-World Cup they've had nothing to retort with.
Their teams having been dying like the plague in the UEFA cup and the entire countries Euro hopes are now yet again pinned on that team from Down SARF

The most funny thing about the current situation of the English national team is that you can't blame Johnny Foreigner anymore. No Sven to blame anymore, and McClaren is English as it gets, hell he even looks like some guy from East Enders.

What Polish, Swiss or Brazilian players? Oh wait, I understand. This must be the "English Empire" thing. Players with roots in former colonies are English as it gets, while you can only be German if your family has been living there for a dozen of generations.
Hmmm. If you look at it this way, we could claim all of you guys to be Germans, hell, your language is Germanic even. But on the other hand, we don't want your pathetic stats in international competitions to ruin our reputation.

Just got a first team place? He has been a starter for the Mannschaft for years. Magath is the reason why it took him longer at Bayern, everybody with the slightest clue about the Bundesliga knows this.
