Why does everyone think ramos would play ahead of Woody?

You do realize that Woodgate has played a total of 10 games in the last two seasons?

    -----------------------Casillas

    Salgado------S.Ramos---Cannavaro----R.Carlos

    Beckham------Emerson---Diarra-------Raul

    ----------------------Cassano

    ------------------------Ruud

Thats the team he will use at the start of the liga in my opinion. Its not the team id put out.

Lpool will finish 4th this season, MU have made some good signings, Arsenal have Henry, Chelsea will walk it.
    Ok, I'll elaborate...

Real madrid have continued down the 'old' route with the signings of Canavaro, Emerson and horse face, who will most definately be first team players. Although they were on the cheap, this is where I think Madrid have failed before...Instead of signing younger players, ie manu and Barca, they have usually gone for older players. I think for a team to fully gel, it should have players in the team who know each other very well, and that can only be achieved when a group of players have spent a long time together. I capello was signing decent 24 year olds, then that would be a lot better.

The second big problem is their inability to drop the older, craper players like Beckham and Raul. Raul has been consistantly bad for the past few seasons, whereas Beckham has played reasonably well, but his style dictates how the team plays ie, unattractive football, unproductive football.

...And how is the signing of Reyes going to improve the team? I'ts not!

.......Okay, its 2 in the morning, and I'm a bit pissed, so that was probably written very poorly, but what I'm really saying is the Capello isn't buying the right players, and dropping the right players.

you cant really know how raul will play.as i have said earlier i dont we will find out what formation he will use untill they play the first 5 games.ánd yes he has bought 3 old players but they were needed.
and it is not the way we had gone before because now we are buying older players for the right places.

centre back you need a experinced centre back like cannavaro who will teach ramos.

and in dm also experinced players would be good.thats why he picked
emerson.buying nistelroy was less needed but i see where he is coming from.and with diarra coming through we already have the player that will take over from emerson.
and we are not done signing players as 3 players will come.

Where you go wrong is that you are extrapolating press articles...

I have watched Capello's strategies for many years now, and he is very shrewd in the way he manages expectations of players, media, fans, etc and still plays his game.

I think Raul will be marginalised to some extent, but probably not in the begining... Capello will give him a run, get results, and after everyone praises Capello for getting Real back on track (and if Raul still does not perform to his best), Capello will bench him. Remember Del Piero (a player who IMO is very similar to Raul in talent and status in the club)? DP's case was very perculiar, coz unlike Raul, DP was performing well... it was just that he did not fit into Capello's strategy...

Believe me, if Real are ahead of Barca (which I think is quite likely), fans will not care how Capello makes the team play... results matter the most, then comes the flair. For all of Argentina's displays, will they exchange that for what Italy achieved in the world cup?? In a second, without ANY doubt!

but i think that if we win something big this year the demands will come next year.right now we just want a title because that is what everybodys eyes is on.
but i wont be happy untill they play a style i respect.

Yeah thats true. After 3 years of not winning anything i dont think most fans will mind playing bad and winning, but after a year or two i dont think they will stand for it.
