lrd, continue please to come up with more subjective measurements to prove that Man United are the best team in your head.
If Man U are the 'biggest' and still not the most successful, that just underlines what a bunch of underachievers you are.

In terms of marketable status:
1. Real Madrid
2. Manchester United
3. AC Milan
Sadly, not one of them will win the Champions League this season

Dont get bitter at the truth, it seems to be common among you.
Not best...biggest. Times change Roger, I duno who was the biggest team in the world 1970, Football grows all the time, Man Utd is worldwide biggest club in the world. We are soon to be best again aswell As i say Real Madrid are second, i dont know where you are, nor do i care

This is largely due to Spanish clubs being able to sell their own TV rights, isn't it?

8th place is pathetic and shows how poor we've been in the marketing department.

Dont agree on any of those. We shall see, Certainly the biggest game of the season. Ronaldo the best midfielder on the park aswell

A more recent one:
Manchester United has lost its position as the richest club in the world in the DeloitteFootball Money League 2004 - 2005. Manchester's revenue fell £6m to just over £166 million, however the Reds still generate more cash than any other from match day activities.
The Deloitte review only takes into account income from the core football business like: broadcast revenue, ticket sales and merchandising. The figures do not include player wages or transfer fees, for this reason Chelsea make 5th place despite suffering record losses for that year.

The Beckham factor is all that was my man. When Beckham leaves Man Utd Move above them again. Cristiano Ronaldo will be the new Becks in terms of off the field stuff aswell

Ronaldo has a good history vs. Ashley Cole in league games. A lot depends on Rooney doing what he did last year and taking Makelele out of the game.

So you think Wes Brown or Bardsley are better than Geremi or Boulahrouz?
I'd like to see either keep dinho in their pocket for 90 minutes.
United's midfield may have more flair (if Joe Cole, Robben or Kalou don't start), but they will try to bully Chelsea and will come off 2nd.
Drogba right now, will get the better of almost any CB in the world.
Terry is better than either of the United CBs and he along with Carvalho work brilliantly as a pair. Rooney is far too hot and cold at this moment, and although I don't like to tempt fate, I'd be surprised if he got the better of them. Saha is the bigger threat.
Ronaldo may get some fun against Ashley Cole, but the United RB (if Neville doesn't play) will get absolutely raped by Cole. Lampard is playing out of his skin right now, and along with Essien will dominate the middle of the midfield.
Hopefully a good, comfortable 3-0 win for the blues, to catch up on goal difference

Hopefully we will see another performance from Euro 04 where Cole had Ronaldo in his pocket all night.

S4P, you can't seriously be on about Boulah stopping Ronaldinhio when he was at fault for both goals in the Nou Camp and got taken off because of it.

That's the only one I can think of where Cole came out on top, and Ronaldo is a considerably better player now than he was then.
Of course, Chelsea have better attacking options now than they did a year ago, so Man U will have to work harder to keep them out.
Should be a fucking amazing game, either way.

I was talking about the Stamford Bridge match.
In the Camp Nou he was poor.

Neville will play, he is better than geremi or Boula yes.
Terry is not better than Rio Or Vidic
Rooney has been very good, Just missed a lot of good chances, But this is nothing to do with defenders, Hes got the better of them easily. Saha is on very good form like Drogba
Carrick Scholes also playing very well like your midfield. Cole will be to busy defending, He may be able to play as a winger v watford, But not when hes against Ronaldo will he be able to do such a thing.

Even I wouldn't have come up with a topic like this. This has "bumpable" written all over it.
I am not looking forward to the Chelsea game at all. Some of our fans are just too cocky at the moment. Better to be quiet then make yourself look a fool later.

Hahaha you can be a gigantic hypocrite at times Pippa.
"Liverpool fans deserve it", why? Because we were optimistic at the seasons start?
Way to prove that we were cunts by doing the same thing yourself. If anything you lot are being far worse than we were at the start of the season.

No chance.
You wasn't the worse but the likes of CotR, Hysen, Crouching, Luis and 110 % were full of it.
I remember being called biased for saying I thought we'd finish above you.

Because we take the piss out of your 'orrible little shithole club? (Yes kimbo, I'm aware it's LOCAL, you don't have to scream it for the 1000th time). Everyone does that Kimmy.
Taking the piss out of Newcastle isn't the sole perogative of Liverpool fans. Just about every non-Newcastle fan does it, and with good reason.
Going down.
