However, if the liquid was more than 'beer' and harmful (i.e. acid), UEFA can do nothing but investigate ..
acid could be smuggled into the stadium .. you know better than me, is 'whatever' brought into the stadium checked thurley?
Don't get me wrong I'm not saying they are people who intent to harm players .. but 'if the case scenario is brought up' you can understand where they are coming from. Beer might have been thrown, but what happens if it wasn't beer?

Acid...... Where should he have put it then? And he can't have it in a plastic cup anyway. That would have gone right thru it...

Checks at the gates at Feyenoord are pretty rigid. If harmful fluids have never been brought in, our sentece for the beer incident can't be more severe because it could be something like that. that's weird justice.rai de Hunter wrote:jonathan de guzman wrote:Bullshit. any thing can happen, remember those mobile phones threwn at Ajax players in De Kuip? Anyway most of these things are impulsive reactions, they just throw what's nearest to them. acid requires pre-meditation.rai de Hunter wrote:Fey wrote:Acid...... Where should he have put it then? Hmm, that's not true though is it?! We created atleast 2, which is more than Celta did. And Milner was giving the fullback hell, he took on 4 players at one point!Samba De Baiano wrote:The Real White Pele wrote:Tweedledum wrote:Yeh
Thats the least I've seen Newcastle use the long ball all season.
Exactly how many guilt edge chances did Vigo create? sqat.
And Newcastle had SO many first team regs out it was a joke!
Lazy journalism exists outside of the UK too, its just we never hear much about it- I'm betting the writer in Marca spent little time actually watching the game and then decided to fall upon the old cliche that all english sides "play it long".
No doubt Newcastle did play it longer than Celta, but thats because the Spanish side seemed to spend an awful lot of time passing it around there midfield and defence then losing it...!!
Nah, Newcastle were worth their win.
I remember at least three ocassions when the ball was hoofed down the middle for Sibierski to chase (?). A draw would have ben a fair result given that both teams didn't create any real chances.
Milner = Criminally underrated!!!

Placente had him in his pocket in the first half. Luque on the left took advantage of Angel's poor positioning which was where most of the crosses were coming form. In the second half I'll give you it, he did start attacking him more and putting more crosses in. Was one of your chances the Parker miscontrol

Re: UEFA Cup 23.11.2006 discussion thread
Chance 1 = Siberski goal
Chance 2 = Taylor goal
Then there was the Bramble header which he should've done alot better with. Celta didn't create enough to draw the game, they were blunt in attack.
