@ Fey But thank god out youth education still belongs to the best of the world. And that is something money can't buy.
So true, teams like Ajax for example rely on the youth card to be successful and not spending £20M one one player etc.
How many times has it paid off.
What i fear is, if the club is viewed as a feeder club, the only way to eradicate this thought is to be successful .. imagine if Dutch sides become feared in Europe and dominating (not 'ruthlessly') but get to semis, maybe a final .. and who knows win. the youngsters can see their clubs are top and stay in the country ... and the process will help the clubs, revenue goes up and earning rockets -- a NEW age of Dutch football??
we must take notes from Spain, Italy and England -- how many of their players play abroad?
Garcia, Alonso, Cesc, Reina - for span (from the top of my head)
England - Hargreaves
Italy - none (I'm not sure, but less than 3 for sure)
Against Bulgaria, only 1 Dutchman who started the game played his football in Holland ... you know who.
Its sad .. but the players who are playing are talented and great, but imagine if they all played in Holland still.
