It's surprising really, given our defence and Liverpool's excellent start, that they didn't score more. Disappointing for them really. I wouldn't have been happy had we been playing against a defence that consisted of, for example, Warnock at RB, Gerrard and Finnan at CB.
We really dont care tbh
We outplayed you at the Bridge(before the sending off) - we hit the bar/post/ missed "one on ones"- with your strongest back four playing on the day
You had this defeat coming sooner or later

Makes a change that a big club has beaten them, usually its left to us.

I thought Liverpool played very well , congrats to them though it was a make shift defence for Chelsea.

You only had 1 shot before the Ballack sending off (the one that hit the bar) and we had over 60% possession.

Kuyt hit the post/bar and Gerrard skied one in the first half when he should have squared. That's atleast 2.

Bellamy had a good chance after that - shot it straight at the keeper i think
Either way - we created enough chances to win the game - we looked like the home team

Even if Chelsea had Terry, Carvalho and Makelele on the pitch today, I still believe that they would have lost. They played very, very poorly in my opinion - it was all punting long, high passes to the frontline and hoping for a lucky bounce or someone to do something amazing. Sure, Kalou had a couple of dribbles in the second half that looked promising, but fuck all came of it. Reina never had to make a significant save.
Also, on the odd occasions that Chelsea didn't just bypass their own midfield, and actually put together half a dozen passes to create a bit of space, the end product would invariably be a chipped ball. Given that a front line of Robben, Drogba and Kalou, and then Wright Phillips, should be able to outpace Liverpool's defence, this was madness. Given that only Drogba could outmuscle Liverpool's defence, playing that as the main tactic was suicide.
Not that I'm gloating, but Chelsea had this coming to them. They've played this same direct, physical game a lot this season and only beaten their opponents due to set pieces or sheer brute force, rather than through 'proper' football. The only set pieces of note in today's game from Chelsea were Fwank smacking one high and wide towards the end of the first half, and that comic moment involving Ballack in the second, which will no doubt make the Too Good, Too Bad section of MOTD2.

Outshone both him and Gerrard today (despite what Sky say. We all know Andy Gray has a rush of excitement every time Gerrard punches someone or receives the ball)
come on SP4.. I know you don't like the treatment poor flumps/slug/AWOL gets but seriously this one is nearly as bad as saying Jade goody is currently the most popular person in Britain...
Give it up
