He played on the right of midfield for at least 70 minute of the match. was he in eboue's pocket when he played in evra for the goal? Biggrin

Well if Ronaldo was in Eboue's pocket yet still played a big part in our goal, than we can say that Rio had Henry in his pocket as well.

I loved the way he was backing off when henry was trying to take him on early in the first half, just too afraid to commit himself because he knew henry would have made a fool of him.

quite different parky; rio let henry head freely twice, one of the goals was scored as a result. In eboue's case ronaldo didn't go past him( again!!!) all afternoon and manu's goal would have been prevented had our midfielders tracked evra's run, so it wasn't eboue's fault . I am sure gilberto would have nullified that had he been on the pitch.

Ok, so in both cases the Arsenal player was in the right.

No eboue tracked ronaldo along with the rest of your teams midfield, hence the acres of space for Evra to run on to. The Arsenal team fear Ronaldo, I gues they have nightmares about him running riot at Highbury a few seasons back.

    See Henry

Henry should have got a penalty, scared all your defenders every time he got the ball in the first half, was involved in every decent Arsenal attack.

    And he SCORED.

For you Ronaldo played as well because he got owned by both Clichy and Eboué, didn't get past either of them once, dived pathetically every time he was touched.

And he gets a redeeming factor for having, not an assist, but for playing the ball for an assist.

How did you know he scared them?

It wasn't a penalty either, but we're unlikely to agree on that.

I have no problems with admitting Ronaldo was poor yesterday. However bar Henry's goal he was by no means worse than the Diva.

How do I know he scared them? I've never seen anyone looking so stupid as Neville back pedalling twenty metres with Henry just ball at his feet, not even running.

Or at least that's what I thought but Rio did the same two minutes later.

no, watch the replays again, eboue was the only one with ronaldo when he passed to evra. One of our midfielders was with evra but didn't close him down quickly enough to prevent him crossing the ball.

Rooney was class untill we scored, he was beating ares players for fun. Brought a brilliant save out of Lehman and scored. So technically he did more than anyone else bar Lehman.

Ronaldo had a poor game, for his high standards, but I rather he had a poor game against Arsenal and 6 awesome games over Christmas. Remeber its not a cup competition its a league. If your team played as well every week maybe you wouldnt be 12 points behind battling for third.

Ps only Adebayour, Evra, Lehman and Rooney played well. Everyone else was nothing special.

Rooney played well, was making Eboué look stupid.

Then he changed wings and was eaten alive by Clichy.
