I thought it was a great game COTR, with a thoroughly deserved result. Arsenal were dominant for all of the second half, after a largely even first half and Man Utd scored totally against the run of play. Stonewall pen on Henry, three very well taken goals, and some very good passing movement from both sides.

Lehmann - 6 - Made one excellent save, and was very solid throughout
Eboué - 3 - Made one cross, but had a mare in the first half, scarily bad although he improved in the second half
Touré - 5- Decent performance, no mistakes
    Senderos - 5 - Same
Clichy - 7 - MOTM for me, Coped with Ronaldo AND Rooney when they switched sides, don't think he got passed once. Just needed to give a bit more offensively, but otherwise a virtuoso performance.
Fab - 6- Good passing, a few mistakes but was a main reason behind Arsenal's possession.
    Flamini - 6 - Typically hard working.
Rosicky - 5 - Some good play but a lot of errors and some very poor shooting
Hleb - 3 - I like Hleb but today he was shit
Henry - 6 - Poor until the goal, but he scored it and that's what matters. he was also involved in most of Arsenal's good chances.
Adebayor - 6 - A good game, lots of hard work.

VDS - 5- Constant time - wasting, nothing to do pretty much, at fault for Henry's goal.
Evra - 7 - He was the constant bright spark for United, but both goals came on his side.
Rio - 5 - At fault for Henry's goal, but otherwise very good.
Vidic- 6 - Coped well with Adebayor and Henry
Neville - 4- Looked scared when Henry had th eball, should have given away a penalty
    Carrick - 2 - Did he play?
Scholes -4- Some nice work at the start of the first half but faded as the game went on, and at fault for the first Arsenal goal.
Giggs - 4 - Like Scholes, anonymous second half
Rooney - 7 - Excellent performance, most dangerous United player and got a goal
    Ronaldo - 3 - Rubbish.
Larsson - 5 - Not many chances, but when he got the ball he played well

Do you think Henry taunted Neville after the equaliser ?

Looked like he said something to him as he ran past to celebrate with RVP

Ah dont know, The anger of seeing arsenal score that goal was high, watching them pricks celebrate would of sent me over the edge. But knowing Henry yes he probably did. There is history with him and neville. When henry and lauren had a bust up in the tunnel, it was neville who told all the papers Laughing

    My estimation, in summary

    - Just like the prior match between these two, a very even game that could have gone either way that Arsenal won due to taking 1 more of their chances than Man U, in a game where neither created as much as they normally do. On the balance of play and chances created, a draw would have been a fair result.

    - Ferdinand and VDS were at fault for the winning goal. When Henry scores a header, you know that something has gone badly wrong. As such, Man U only have themselves to blame for not winning a tight game where they took the lead with a very good goal.

    - As with all of Man U's losses that I've seen this season, the key for them was a lack of stamina in the midfield. Carrick was the only player who could hack the pace for a full 90 minutes, though he had a mediocre game. Giggs and Ronaldo were both shit, Scholes did alright but nothing spectacular, both Arsenal goals came from this lack of energy in the Man U midfield in the later stages. Carrick and Scholes are a great pairing in terms of playing expansive, attacking football, but against a team as clinical as Arsenal have been in recent weeks, the need for a player like Hargreaves becomes all too apparent.

    - For Arsenal, Adebayor was key, and probably their best player on a day when Henry did fuck all apart from score a free header because Rio was busy beatboxing, and Rosicky tried to fool everyone into thinking he was Frank Lampard. A very, very good player in my view, although his hair needs, well, changing. Drastically so.

Ultimately, I don't think that Arsenal deserved to win, but Man U shot themselves in the foot and the result is what matters. However, by that measure, being 6 points clear is worth a lot more than a week's bragging rights. Still, congrats Arsenal, you proved my prediction wrong, and these two top of the table games have produced the best results in terms of keeping the league competitive.

    good post saints Ale

i agree a 1-1 draw was probably the fair results, all though obviously i am very happy that we won. we were marginally the better team.

and yes rosicky should really do something with his hair!

Though how Eboue stayed on the pitch after waving an arm into Rooney's face (yellow card) and persistantly fouling everything that moved, I don't know. Doesn't really matter, the ref had a solid game otherwise.

Eboue should of been off but I'm not moaning about that.

I'm just going to moan and hunt down everyone who doesn't agree Carrick was fucking superb. He was by far the best midfielder on show.

I told you all before, and all I received was backlash:

Rio goes walkabouts in games. It may be a lack of concentration, I don't know. Maybe only for a second or two. Sometimes it's costly, sometimes it's not.

He can be brilliant for 89 and a half minutes, and then have 30 seconds where he's unaware of everything that's going on.
