I think he played a part in the success of Real Madrid with the Di Stefano case. I guess we will have to agree on disagreeing.

In general TM, Madrid is the club that represents Spain. If you see scarves of Madrid there is always the spanish flag on it. On the other side Barça represents Catalonia. That's why many people, even foreign Barça fans aren't too fond of Spain and same for Madrid fans like yourself that aren't too fond of Catalonia.
