Am I being crazy or suddenly Saviola is with big chances of playing again this season?Despite Rijkaard's public sayings, his actions lately show that maybe Saviola isn't the last alternative after all?

I'm not so sure, Rijkaard really, really does not rate Saviola. I think he will be more likely to use Gudjohnson or Ezquerro or even Ronaldinho as a centre forward before he puts in Saviola. Maybe I'm wrong...it will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Just on the news Rijkaard said that he would be playing. Gudjohnsen will probably be the starter and Saviola his replacement. There's no way Ezquerro will be ahead of Saviola.

we were also saying Saviola would get anytime against Valencia and he came on an almost won it for us. i dislike saviola for all the reasons most barca fans do, but when it comes down to it i honestly believe Saviola is better that Guddy and if he and Dinho can link up like they did in Rickys first season, i think we'll get 10-12 goals form him which should be enough until Eto'o comes back.

As backup for the left forward position but unfotunatly for him Messi "exploded" after they signed him.

not hate, dislike because he is holding the club at ransom.

when it comes to his football abilities then i have no problems with him as do most barca fans

Saviola wouldn't work as a lone frontman though IMO - you'd be much better playing Guddy there.

Or maybe you can try and convert Zambo to a striker, at least then he;d get some playtime

Both could help Barca I reckon. But Chelsea will never sell Drogba, while Werder most probably will sell Klose next season.

Barca don't have a striker who is strong in the air, and there simply is no one better than Klose in this respect.
But Klose is much more than that, he scores most of his goals with his feet these days. I seriously believe that he would shine in La Liga. And he'd fit in Barca perfectly, due to their very attacking philosophy, which is similar to Werder.

I'd love him to stay in Bremen. Crying or Very sad But realistically speaking, he'll leave us next season. And Barca would be his first choice, and mine. That's where I'd like to see him play, if he doesn't play for us.

No ballack we will never sell the Drog.

It is quite funny though whenever I see Chelsea fans (who are mates of mine) praising up Drogba a lot, saying he has always had the potential. I then remind them (quite a lot) that I was one of the few who was saying this a year ago Whistle Wink

Be great to see Guddy at the Bridge in a few weeks. Hope Eto'o gets back asap for you guys (does anyone know a confirmed month he's expected to be back?)

He needs to go see whoever John Terry saw (and if its one of our medical team, maybe we can get him to sign a contract Whistle)

Last Saturday, Terry could barely walk. By Wednesday, he was playing 90 minutes of football in Bulgaria, when the doctors had given him "no chance of playing".

I think the doctors sometimes say the injuries are longer, to perhaps make sure the player isn't out longer than what they predict (if you get what I mean)

So, do we think Barca are fucked?

    Whistle

Or should they be ok without their top scorer?

Dinho and Messi should both get about 15 a piece so they should be ok, but may be difficult in tighter games

We are a bit fucked without Eto'o. He is one of the "untouchables" along with Deco and Valdes. I have less confidence now for our chances in the CL. Guddy is a great striker but Eto'o is one of the best in the world.

If the MONSTER was ever to come to Barça then now would be the best moment.

where is Maxi when we need him?

seriously, Eto'o is great but when the clockwork works any striker will put them away. The problem so far has been Ronnie's and Xavi's poor form.

I have good hopes for Gudjohnsen.
