No i think kaka's Game is best suited to him playing though the Middle, with his Direct Runs with the Ball and great Penetration and all round willingness to work.

if barca were to ever Sell Dihno and has Kaka in mind to help fell the Gap, i think they should just sell Deco as well. And play Messi on the Left and But some on like C.Ronaldo to play on the Right

    -------Iniesta------DM-------Kaka

    ---Ronaldo-----Eto'o------Messi

With that i don't think we'll be Dinho at all, and i really like the Guy but if he Brother persist on the Contact Improvement i think we should sell him

I don't really watch much La Liga and I know how important Dinho is to you guys, but if I were Rijkaard I'd seriously consider dropping him for 1 or 2 matches and play:

    Guily--Gudjohnsen--Messi

I'm sure that will make Dinho realise that maybe his place isn't guaranteed and it may make him start putting in better performances.

Hmm doesn't really look like much of a translator to me.

Looks more like a man who has won a Champs League, a UEFA Cup, league titles in 2 different nations (unfortunately Rijkaards 1 national title, 1 national relegation can't match this - as can't his European achievement compared to the 'translator' Wink Whistle)

Makaay is just a paper rumour, Txiki said we won't sign anyone...and cule604, Franco FC are after more injured players Wink

I'm also disappointed with Ronaldinho's constant pay rises, and I agree it's his brother instigating all this, because he knows ROnaldinho is a huge global brand now.

And I'd rotate Saviola and Gudjohnsen, but in the big games coming up, I want to see Guddy as starter.

    I agree completely..

But did you guys see that Laporta said that we might RENEW Saviola's contract??

I like the little guy, and if he can come with sensible demands, then I am all for letting him stay... (he is our most expensive signing ever or maybe that was Overmaars, bloody Arsenal ripping us off)..

    Wasn't Overmars included with Petit?

Something like £25 million for both (around 37 - 38 million euros).

Yes.. but it was still a huge rip off.. but I think that Saviola was about 33 mill euros..

(don't get me wrong Overmars was a nice guy, but in no way worth that kind of money)

Shame though, as he was amazing in the Premier league.

    Pulling A Fast One
Joan Laporta added fuel to the Gago sweepstakes and added an interesting twist

After reports of Real Madrid being in the driver’s seat for the Boca midfielder, Barcelona president Joan Laporta mentioned that he wanted the “three jewels of Argentine football”. Technical Secretary Txiki Beguiristain will be at the Monumental on Sunday exclusively to see Palacio and Gago play. Both Beguiristain and Laporta are in Argentina making an “institutional visit” and plan to meet with Boca president Mauricio Macri to begin negotiations for both players.

Gago, 20, who is being sought after by Chelsea and Real Madrid is being watched closely by Barca as he would be an absolute leader. The only issue holding him up from moving to the Blaugrana would be that he would take up a foreign spot on the squad. In his case, it would not be an issue as Gago would be able to obtain Italian citizenship.

Palacio, 24, is the other Boca player that would be a valid option alongside Lionel Messi, a healthy Samuel Eto’o, and Ronaldinho. His pace, ability to play on both sides, and distribute the ball to his teammates makes him an “undisputed international”.

According to sources, Barcelona have already agreed with Independiente for starting goalkeeper Oscar Ustari. Ustari, 20, sounds like a logical choice for the Catalans as Victor Valdés has seen little to no competition for his starting job from Albert Jorquera. The Barcelona brass plans to meet once again with Julio Comparada in order to finalize the transfer of the young Argentine international.

So for this type of talent what is the price tag? According to many, they would cost around

    10-15 million Euros Each

With the exception of Ustari, i don't thimk we need the other two guys (not that they aren't very Talented)

But i would love for us to Bid for Gago Only reason being it would have RM have to pay alot more than they intended to pay

Yeah I posted the same in the RM thread - ideally we need Mascherano (I think as soon as next summer, because Motta will always be a backup, and Edmilson is getting injured and past it, plus he's over 30 already). But if we can make Gago adapt slightly, I'd jump for him, or at least fake interest in him and drive up the price tag. Anything to f*** with RM Laugh

As for Saviola's contract being renewed, please NO. Sometimes, regardless of the footballing benefits (which so far there aren't many, and Rijkaard doesn't like him anyway), it's better to get rid of "polemic" causing players. And I highly doubt he'll even agree to lower wages.

Hmm, normally I would have been very very happy to sell him off in January so that we could at least get some money for him. But now with Etoo out we can't do that. So it'll have to be on a free. As for the Sevilla deal, I do think they have a verbal agreement of some sort, but apparently his agent is still looking around for better deals.

I don't think Saviola will go anywhere until summer. It would be pointless to sell him and buy Maakay.

About the young argentinians, I wouldn't beleive the rumours, there isn't money to spend on unproven youngsters. Although "stealing" Gago from Madrid is tempting Wink

What's the point if we have Saviola? We won't get much money if we sell him in January because he finishes contract in June and Barça don't know how to sell players.
