Man U Still Gutted About Shearer

I was speaking about WC 1998. He only stayed in the team because he was captain. Did virtually nothing over 4 games apart from scoring a Pen.

It should've been Sheringham-Owen for Columbia & beyond.

Owen, Beckham, Campbell were immense
Shearer, Anderton, Le Saux, Ince, Seaman were OK
Scholes, Batty were poor

Manchester United did not sign Shearer

but signed Solskjaer end off .. i respect Shearer playing for his home town club and we can not fault him for that.

However Shearer would have been a great addition, no doubt.

If Alan Shearer had gone to United in 1996, they would have won many more European Cups than they did.

I for one NEVER wanted Shearer at OT - i prefered Sherringham who was also at peak of his career - and was damn glad HE joined us....and the rest is history as they say.

In fact not only a i glad Shearer never wore our beatiful red shirt - i love having a laugh at his measly medals...when compared to Sherringhams!
