Scenario: The "Bonanza" is a Figo replacement
Target#1: Messi - We know that Moratti is a big fan, and this is starting to resemble the situation that led to Inter's hostile takeover of Ronaldo in 97. Will Barca be able to say no to a £50M bid?? I doubt it.
Target#2: C Ronaldo - he is doing very well this season, and if he has any sense in his head, he will stay with the team where he has started gelling. But then, the lure of $$$ has undone a lot of great players.... and the Glazers are unlikely to refuse anthing in the range of £40M
The other prospects include Quaresma and Nani, but those will not be considered by interisti as the promised "bonanza". If Nani replaces Figo at Inter, then the fans are going to expect a "Bonanza" elsewhere, and knowing Moratti, they will get it! So lets consider:
Scenario 2: Bonanza is not a Figo Replacement!
Target#1: There is a rumour doing the rounds that Inter plan to do a Milan on Milan by going after Shevchenko... that would make me smile Chelsea would be ready to sell him at £20M by now.
Target#2: Ballack - The unsettled german is be a fine replacement for Vieira, infact I think Ballack+Cambiasso will be a better midfield partnership than Vieira+Cambiasso. It will also keep Stankovic on his toes.
Target#3: This one sounds like pure fantasy - Inter will engage Milan in a bidding war for Ronaldinho over the summer... with a £65M budget, anything is possible. But something like this will surely do good for Serie A's image, specially considering the fact that Juve are earmarking a HUGE budget for this summer as well...
So my prediction.. or more like a logical deduction!: One out of these 5 players (Messi, C Ronaldo, Shevchenko, Ballack, or Ronaldinho) is going to be an Inter player this summer. It just makes sense.
