Is John Arne Riise drunk? He keeps going on a series of mazy runs, but just looks like a pissed tramp kicking a beer can outside a newsagents and inevitably gets the ball taken off him

Not drunk, just shit. That's all he's done this season. Arbeloa's done alright so far though.

Bellamy's header clearly crossed the line. Valdes isn't the only one to blame, Bellamy was free.
Decent match so far. I was expecting more from it. Now it's time to watch Inter vs Valencia.

Any half decent goalkeeper would have punched/palmed it out if he felt there was even the slightest chance that it would carry. It wasn't even a good header. Shocking defending to leave him on his own there.

He has, although the fact that Messi never tracks back behind the halfway line is helping

thought that was quality even if he is a wanker

Brilliant score for Liverpool.
Barca will come out with real intent in the second half and it could be wave after wave of pressure. Liverpool could hit them on the counter attack though.
What was Benitez's record like at Nou Camp whilst in Spain?

So we are 1 nil up at the Camp Nou and the defense and valdez decides to give Liverpool a goal how nice of them.

Liverpool again with the better start in the second half.
Iniesta for Motta, will be interesting now.

Valdes is a comedy keeper. Barca really deserve a better goalie.

Barca are pretty poor to be honest. As usual Motta was poor, and Xavi hasn't created anything.

Both Saviola and Messi miss a HUGE chance for Barca. Great dribbling by Saviola there.

Awful defending by Barca again, but great pass by Gerrard to Kuyt, who missed the first chance.

Kuyt really needs to step his game and start finishing like he did in his Feyenoord times.

Saviola misses another very good chance for Barca. They really need to use their chances better, otherwise they won't stand a chance at Anfield.

They have 0 chances at Anfield now. Barca have shot themselves in the foot. Absolutely abysmal defending and they dont deserve to win on these basis.
