Chelsea are a football club and not a souless group of men throwing money at players until they finally get bored?

Must... try... harder

IMo even that's too much honour. First I want to see plenty of English youngsters, who started at the academy at an early age. Buying 15-17 year olds is hardly an achievement of our academy. They were good before they signed, that's not homegrown.DeanoTheEmo-WHUFC wrote:Arsenal's academy has only been good recently...

I agree. That's probaly why we can't get the talented English youngsters. Until 10-15 years ago Feyenoord had the same problem as Arsenal, Sparta had one of the best youth academies in Holland. Youngsters were advised to choose Sparta over Feyenoord beforehand. Unless Arsenal don't come up with examples of youngsters joining at an early age and reaching the top, that will not change.DeanoTheEmo-WHUFC wrote:jonathan de guzman wrote:IMo even that's too much honour. I suppose..but some of the foreign players are brought in at 15/16...
No bias but I still think ours is the best and for sure over the last 10 years...

They've done well but if we can get decent balls to Smith and Bouazza we'll rape them.
United's academy must be great to produce players like Ebanks-Blake
