sometimes a sacking helps but most of the times it doesn't change that much in the long run.

clearly , Benitez has to go now

apparently, he has already agreed terms with Juve

    which begs the question

Will a Liverpool without Spaniard Benitez

that has NOT qualified for the CL

see an EXODUS of its stars like

    Torres, GERRARD, Reina... ?

and where could Gerrard go ?

    sorry blut

but after the 4:0 by Bayern vs Bremen in the DFB Pokal Finale

I have to reiterate what I have believed FOR YEARS

    Schaaf HAS to go NOW

    Grr

    ----------

    as for Children

I see you FINALLY agree with me that Benitez is RUBBISH and HAS TO GO

as always , Liverpool WASTED YEARS

as so often, YOU failed to see the signs

and refused to listen to WISE council from Germany

I suggest Liverpool hire German coach FINK, who just won the SWISS title with Basel

    in his "Swiss maiden season"

Schaaf had the tactics wrong yesterday, but it's total nonsense to want him sacked because of one match. Besides, you simply can't prevail with pub league fullbacks, especially against world class wingers. Defending as a team is fine, but you need some reliable individual class in the defence as well.

Schaaf made some significant tactical progress this season. He replaced the diamond 4-4-2, 'his' system that was tailor made for classical playmakers like Micoud or Diego, with a more versatile, modern, less predictable system. Werder are on the right track, we need to keep our key players, add depth on certain crucial positions, and with a bit of luck, we'll be true title challengers again in forseeable time.

That's nonsense Axe. Bayern broke our record in the league a few years ago under Hitzfeld, less goals conceded over a season, with more or less the same players. That's quite a difference to a player like Boenisch who basically has never proven to be 1. Bundesliga material, for example.

Lol, the best defenders for Bayern *are* the unproven ones Smile

    Demichelis is *below* pub level.

Lahm is great on the attack, but he isn't exactly the best defending back in the world.

Van Buyten produced howler after howler.

Rensing was playing at pub level, so was Butt for at least half the season (he improved in the second half, from what I saw).

Alaba is a nice kid, but at the moment he couldn't defend if his life depended on it.

Badstuber and Contento are the best defenders I have seen for Bayern this season : completely untested youth players...

The difference between young players like Badstuber and Boenisch is that former has actually proven not only to be 1. Bundesliga material, but even good enough for the international level. Boenisch had at least as many chances to prove himself.

So it's not a matter of age, but quality and talent. And none of the Bayern defenders are pub league level.

Demichelis is not a bad player. He is just no leader in the defence, he needs someone to give the commands and lead. He can be pretty good in the DM, too.

Our problem are the fullback positions. Our defence would be twice as stable with a player like Lahm, for example, especially on the left.

If Allofs would have given him a professional contract earlier then I guess he would have stayed. Nürnberg offered him first team football and much more money and at some point it was just too late.

Allofs and Schaaf were pretty annoyed about Diekmeier and his agent though.

A shame, Diekmeier is a real Bremer.

    Very Happy

HSV are more likely to win the Bundesliga than Werder to sack Schaaf

and we both know , the HollandSV will NOT win ANYTHING in our lifetime

    lol!

there is, indeed, a distinct possibility that Schaaf will still manage Werder from his DEATHBED

    Yikes

unless he RESIGNS, he will stay in charge

after the 1:6 defeat against Bayern

    Borowka

    a Bremen legend

steps forward to ask for Schaaf to get the sack

    and in Bremen

    nobody EVER questions Schaaf

an era is coming to an end

    and rightly so

    certainly too late

    still

Heynckes should take over in the summer

and GOD knows what keeps Arsenal from firing Wenger Grr

    unbelievable

more than 6 years ago , I asked for Schaaf, Wenger and Benitez to get the sack

    for reasons explained

    above

did ANYBODY take me seriously ?

6 years on and Schaaf and Benitez are long discredited as FRAUDS

    and

Wenger is driving Arsenal fans NUTS as well, and making the Lillywhites giddy with joy

nobody in England or internationally, takes Arsenal seriously anymore

even Wolfsburg, the ultimate plastic club

now outpunches the Gunners when it comes to signing Brazilian internationals Yikes

    can we please

    now all bow

    to the wisdom

    of the GERMAN ORACLE

    cheers

otto, if you're asking for a sack you'll inevitably be right one day, that's the nature of the sport. The point is the timing - what's right now may not have been right half a decade ago.

    the point is

that the REASON for my demand to sack those three clowns

    was EXACTLY the same

as it is now or was when they were sacked

    in other words

Schaaf had to get the sack because he did not understand to organise a defence, was too offensive, was not ambitious enough and was underachieving in view of the players at his disposal

he just did not get it, and there was no indication that he was willing to learn and adjust his ways

after 6 years, the problem was still the same

only by then, EVERYBODY could see that the club was heading towards desaster

similar problems with Wenger, who REFUSED to build a solid defence, was too smitten with youth and flair over experience and substance (exasperating Jens MANY years ago already)....

as Benitez, he was never interested or able to understand how to forge a successful EPL team (international and club football was his thing)

nothing has changed in the meantime

Wenger has not in fact been sacked and therefore you have been wrong for 6 years and counting.

The real question is has anyone on here been wrong for a such a long time or does otto have the record?
