How was that not a penalty?

Anyways, terrible game, poor performance by loads of players like Heinze, Smith, Richardson and Dong.

    Brown was good though.

    ok

It must have been brilliant for the fans to chant those songs again that you only can when you are champions.

I was just referring to the game in general.

Absolutely terrible game of football, I cant see how Chelsea didnt thrash that united side.

What made it worse was that Roma beat Inter 6-2 in the Copa Italia and I could have watched that instead.

Not really. Chelsea could have got a bit of pride back with this one - its not as though their squad was cheaply assembeld yet they yet again demonstrated how to create the MOST boring game of football you could ever imagine. I seriously feel cheated.

Sure they played a few reserve players yet their squad cost more than our squad ever has yet they still managed to pretty much send half the planet to sleep.

I didnt have time to watch 2 games of football in a night, I chose to watch the united v Chelsea game. Which was a bad mistake.

Do you think Dong, will play more than 5 games next season. as he looks pretty rubbish.

Not really. In fact, it was pretty disgraceful, yet if we hadn't done it, the press would have been after our blood.

Fergie should have sent the likes of Ronaldo, Scholes, Giggs etc onto the pitch (even if it were in their suits) to receive this guard of honour. In a way, I'm very disappointed about this.

As for the penalty shout, I don't think Essien touches him. Even if he did, it doesn't excuse the fact Eagles should've been sent off almost immediately after.

Poll once again proves he is the worst referee in the league. Somehow he manages to make controversy out of a meaningless game.

Another game where we didn't take chances.

    Ratings:

    Cudicini 6 - f@ck all to do.
    Ferreira 5 - Still unconvincing.
Essien 6 - Rarely troubled, but a couple of rash moments.
Terry 6.5 - Very comfortable evening.
Bridge 7 - > Ashley Cole, but I know who I'd prefer to face Ronaldo.
    Makelele 6 - A few misplaced passes.
Diarra 6 - Got forward a couple of times, needs to improve final ball.
Mikel 7.5 - Gonna dominate midfields for years to come. Not far off from being something special already. My MOTM today, although he made a shocking tackle.
Sinclair 4 - Needs to improve his upper body strength.
SWP 7 - A couple of world class crosses. Think he may become more and more involved in this setup.
Kalou 5 - A few moments of quality, but rarely troubled.

He's young and its his first season in a new league, Henry had a similarly indifferent first season. IMO he has all the qualities to be the best striker in the PL, just wait 2 years.

Give Diaby a chance Shazlx. Obi Mikel hasn't been pushed out to the left hand side of midfield for a large amount of games this season like Diaby.

He doesn't have to be, if we're gonna play Essien in midfield, and at least 1 wide player.

After tonight, this is the midfield I'd like to see next season:

    Joe Cole--Mikel--Essien--Robben

With SWP getting more and more minutes.

If only Robben and JC could be fit at the same time though. Rolling Eyes
