Anyways, terrible game, poor performance by loads of players like Heinze, Smith, Richardson and Dong.
Brown was good though.

For every top quality game you see you need a few games like this.Tweedle wrote:Someone owes me back 2 hours of my life - preferbaly a Chelsea fan. Your team are a fucking disgrace

It helps even it out.

Absolutely terrible game of football, I cant see how Chelsea didnt thrash that united side.
What made it worse was that Roma beat Inter 6-2 in the Copa Italia and I could have watched that instead.

They were on at completely different times?

Funniest moment of the season for me.

Not really. Chelsea could have got a bit of pride back with this one - its not as though their squad was cheaply assembeld yet they yet again demonstrated how to create the MOST boring game of football you could ever imagine. I seriously feel cheated.
Sure they played a few reserve players yet their squad cost more than our squad ever has yet they still managed to pretty much send half the planet to sleep.
Bravo Chelsea and go f@ck yourselves

Not really. In fact, it was pretty disgraceful, yet if we hadn't done it, the press would have been after our blood.
Fergie should have sent the likes of Ronaldo, Scholes, Giggs etc onto the pitch (even if it were in their suits) to receive this guard of honour. In a way, I'm very disappointed about this.
As for the penalty shout, I don't think Essien touches him. Even if he did, it doesn't excuse the fact Eagles should've been sent off almost immediately after.
Poll once again proves he is the worst referee in the league. Somehow he manages to make controversy out of a meaningless game.
Another game where we didn't take chances.
Ratings:
Cudicini 6 - f@ck all to do.
Ferreira 5 - Still unconvincing.
Essien 6 - Rarely troubled, but a couple of rash moments.
Terry 6.5 - Very comfortable evening.
Bridge 7 - > Ashley Cole, but I know who I'd prefer to face Ronaldo.
Makelele 6 - A few misplaced passes.
Diarra 6 - Got forward a couple of times, needs to improve final ball.
Mikel 7.5 - Gonna dominate midfields for years to come. Not far off from being something special already. My MOTM today, although he made a shocking tackle.
Sinclair 4 - Needs to improve his upper body strength.
SWP 7 - A couple of world class crosses. Think he may become more and more involved in this setup.
Kalou 5 - A few moments of quality, but rarely troubled.

Couple of the Man United players who did not play ; Giggs, Ronaldo, Evra, Vidic , Neville etc did a 'lap of honour'

Forget the talentless Sissoko and the tactically naive Diaby, Mikel is the real New Vieira. Essien is also still relatively young so in 2/3 years this midfield is gonna be too good.S4P2 wrote:

He's young and its his first season in a new league, Henry had a similarly indifferent first season. IMO he has all the qualities to be the best striker in the PL, just wait 2 years.football wrote:S4P2 wrote:

jury's still out for me - tonight was his chance to shine

Good news for Sissoko, Diaby and Fletcher
How so? IMO it will be just as if not more creative than Scholes-Carrick, Pittit- Vieira.OwenThomas4 wrote:shazlx wrote:Forget the talentless Sissoko and the tactically naive Diaby, Mikel is the real New Vieira. Not very creative though.

I said he is tactically naive - I'm sure he'll improve with age. He will be v. close to Mikel but I think Mikel will be better.Cesc wrote:Give Diaby a chance Shazlx. Obi Mikel hasn't been pushed out to the left hand side of midfield for a large amount of games this season like Diaby.
I do rate Mikel very highly though.
