Hmmm... I think this question is a tough one, given that what I like about this board is that it's very balanced and rather "intellectual" in its assessments of players – there's certainly no overrating of the likes of twats like Lampard, quite the opposite.
As Tweedle said, there's always someone trying to knock down even the most talented and world-class of players – which can get irritating at times, but it's probably quite healthy in a way. And as COTR observed the attempt to knock down greats like Thierry (as nothing more than a pace merchant, etc...?!) gets rather ridiculous at times.
Underrated would be a bit easier, unless we talk about certain individuals' rather, ah, eccentric over-hyping...
I think it's fair to say that there are some posters who wank off over the likes of, say, Alves or Chivu, but let's face it, others of us don't manage to see them very much, so it's difficult to be confident in talking about over-hyping. It's understandable that some people should want to show off their football knowledge on a board where the more breadth and perspective of knowledge, the better.
