Lazio + Man City are interested in Amelia. We sure could do with a Goalkeeper at Milan. ¬.¬

I don't think Real are "giving Doria 2M", it probably means Madrid will pay his wages when he's on loan.
Also, Inter, Milan, and Juve are supposedly all fighting for Motta. Sounds like bollocks to me. Is it?

You are better off without him... besides, I doubt he will cut it in the EPL

No-one wants Fiore?
Fiore 'outcast' at Valencia
Sunday 12 August, 2007
Stefano Fiore has begged for a return to Serie A, claiming he is a prisoner at Valencia. “The Coach doesn’t even talk to me anymore.”
The midfielder has been owned by the Spanish side since 2004-05, but spent the last two seasons on loan at Fiorentina, Torino and Livorno.
He was hoping for another trip back to his homeland, but with no takers he has essentially been left on the shelf.
“I ask at least to be able to train alongside my teammates,” Fiore told Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’ in a revealing interview.
“The Coach doesn’t even talk to me anymore. The fact is he doesn’t take me into consideration, despite not knowing what kind of player I am.”
So far he has only made 24 appearances for Valencia and scored two goals, but Quique Sanchez Flores wants nothing to do with him.
The 32-year-old former Lazio star is desperate for a return to Italy, but none of the clubs are willing to buy him outright and Valencia do not seem happy to accept another loan deal.

You think Sven will make a move? He does know all about him, tho trying to introduce a 32 yr old to a totally different league may not be a good way forward...
I hope Napoli move for him, he is teh right profile for them.

Valencia eye Adri swoop
Monday 13 August, 2007
Inter have turned down a £10m offer from Valencia for Adriano according to reports in the peninsula today.
The striker has been linked with a San Siro exit after making headlines for his behaviour off the pitch rather than for his performances on the field.
The Brazilian has now been eyed by the Spanish club, who have allegedly lodged a £10m offer to the Via Durini outfit.
President Massimo Moratti was unhappy with the bid as he values the 25-year-old at somewhere around the £18m mark.
The oil tycoon is one of the player’s greatest supporters and defended him several times over the past year, despite his stuttering 2006-07 season.
Adriano, who has been also paired with Real Madrid and Barcelona, is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2010 and has regularly stated that wants to remain in Serie A.
However, reports in Italy suggest that Moratti might change his mind if Valencia were to increase their offer, with Coach Roberto Mancini ready to give the move his approval.

I wouldnt totally rule it out but Sven is looking mainly for younger players, plus we already have Elano, Ireland, Geovanni for the AM position. Plus like you say it would be hard for him at 32 to get used to the EPL.
Yeah Napoli would be a good move for him, alhtough they have a few creative mids.

Re: The Italian Summer - Transfer Talk 2007.
I think the strength in depth in Serie A has increased considerably over the summer, just like in the EPL... the big teams will drop more points now... 7 quality outfits in Serie A now (as Palermo & Juve have strengthened considerably), and teams like Doria, Livorno, etc are looking good... and even at the fag end teams like Parma, napoli, Genoa, etc haven't done too bad at the market!
I think this will play in Inter's favour, as we can make a few mistakes and still rest assured that so will the other teams... it might be a many horse race after a long long time in Italy!!
