Reina 6 - nothing to do but maybe could have done better with the second
Finnan 5 - crossing not good enough
Carragher 6 - some great tackling but a few dodgy moments
Agger 5 - very casual. thank god carra and agger had almost nothing to do tonight
Riise 4 - wasted so many great attacking opportunites
Pennant 6 - lots of effort and threat but zero quality
Alonso 7 - misplaced passes but dominated the midfield
Mascherano 7 - a bit quiet but kept kaka quiet all night
Zenden 3 - should not have played
Gerrard 5 - tried his hardest and created some great moments but just not enough composure when it mattered. should have started deeper
Kuyt 5- a striker needs to be more of a threat

he stopped the game 20 seconds early and didnt include the injuries or sub. didnt cost us the game but it was still terrible reffing

I was thinking the same, worst assessment *ever* !

Gerrard wasn't that bad. He did quite well in harrassing the centrebacks in the first half, and was involved in the Kuyt + Pennant chances. He was considerably better than Seedorf, who completely failed to impose himself. MOTM probably Nesta or Mascherano - 7or8/10 for both.

You must have been watching a different game mate...He did bugger all with the ball. Just because he was involved a lot doesn't necessarily mean it was positive involvement.

His work rate was phenomanel, particularly his tracking back, he made a few great challenges today and had there been a target man in the box he would have got one or two assists too

He really didn't. If you had a top right winger out there i think you could've finished it in the first half. He was given a shocking amount of space by Janko and Seedorf, and did nothing. There was a number of times that he could've taken the ball into the box and forced the defenders to do something, but he always took the easy option of just attemting to cross it.
