Harsh? Are you serious? Mahdavikia's brutal foul could have easily crushed all joints and strings of Diego's knee... Grr ...and HSV keeper Kirchstein's brutal foul on Hunt should have been straight red also, what a silly idiot this guy is... Werder Bremen 2006/2007 - Page 9 E022

No offcourse im not seroius Smiley Mahdavikia should be banned for atleast 3+ matches. But Werder was unabe to create any chances, whilst playing with a man more.

Because our playmaker was M.I.A. after that tackle, so no surprise really.

Replacing both Klose and Diego at the same time is hardly possible for us.

I don't know, Otto, sorry. The latest news is still from Friday, when he had to abort the last training before the HSV match after only 30 minutes because of a contusion of his foot.
There're also no news if Merte and/or Diego might be fit again for Barcelona...

Seems Klose and Merte visited a Xavier Naidoo concert together on Saturday evening, might be a good sign, who knows... Smile

That was a ridiculous school boy mistake. Happens way too often for my taste. We need Merte. Fast.

Rheinhardt would have never scored that one with Merte around, despite the schoolboy mistake.

Yeah, exactly. But I wonder who should have stood there...Schulz stood at the near post...
However, I hope Schulz will play instead of Wome next time. Wome's recent performances were hardly acceptable...

Agreed. Schulle needs to get his chance, and hopefully use it.

Fritz on the other side was very good though, I'm satisfied with his performances for us so far. He should be a candidate för Löw really, we need some quality RB for the Mannschaft.

Yep, Fritz is doing well and he will surely further improve in the future. With regard to the Mannschaft I'm quite pleased with Lahm on the right and Jansen on the left so far, but Fritz could replace Arne Friedrich, so we have a good back-up for Lahm...

That's what I had in mind, I want us to get rid of Arne Friedrich. Wink

Did you see Boateng's goal for Hertha? That youngster is going to rock, I'm telling you. A huge talent. Despite his young age, he should play for the U21 already.

Maybe the new Helmut Rahn for the Mannschaft? Rahn is his ancestor at least. Very Happy

Do you mean on Saturday when he danced afterwards...nice goal it was. I voted his goal against Odense BK for goal of the week on Saturday, but unfortunately I was outnumbered somehow...
I already wondered why Eilts didn't nominate him for the U21 yet, even more because the U20 team of Erich Rutemöller doesn't seem to have any important matches in the near future while the U21 have the EC next year...

Probably because we have enough quality midfielders in the U21 already. The "next" U21 team is going to be even better than the current one, if you consider the quality of the current U19 team. Boateng should play for that one, or even more likey, play for the Mannschaft directly.

Yep, but better he plays for the youth teams than only sitting on the bench. Maybe some of the youth players could ply between U21 and the senior team for some time. Löw has so many candidates to try out and even the team we have is still so young...ah, the future is bright. sunny

Of course I'm very excited about Wednesday...we don't play too often against the world's best football team. Very Happy But regarding our bad performances recently I'm also concerned that it might not be a good game... Rolling Eyes ...we surely have to do much better if we want to stand a chance against you guys.
If I had to bet on it I would predict 1-3 or 0-2, but I hope for a 3-2... Very Happy

At the moment Klose and Diego are slightly injured and Mertesacker is still not fit enough to play...I don't know if either of them will be able to play on Wednesday, but if I hear something new, I'll post it here... Smile

We are not playing too well either at the moment.. The team suffers from a loss of concentration at times, and only seems to get into gear when we are behind.

We don't have any injuries at the moment, but Edmílson, Xavi, Zambrotta, Motta and Messi seem like they haven't really reached match fitness yet.

I really look forward to see how we will handle all your giants...
