f@ck.. we haven't had any exciting signings for 3 years now... COME BACK ROSSELL!!!! PLLLLEEEAAASSSEEEE
My feelings exactly.
Rumour is that the deal is practically done, and only Arsenal have to say yes. The papers seem to believe that would be the end of Eto'o's stint at Barcelona.
They believe his destination will be Milan.
How exactly can a deal virtually be done if Arsenal haven't said yes?
Unless of course Barca have made an illegal approach...
I am just repeating what I read. Apparently newspapers in France are convinced that all that is missing is the “yes” of Arsenal.
There is a little more substance to these Henry and Eto’o rumours than the ones we generally read about (especially concerning Ronaldinho and Kaka).
Milan are going to table an offer, and Galliani has said that on the official site. Of course, it’s up to Barca to decide.

Again...
Its illegal to make an approach for the player without speaking to the club first, so if Barca have genuinely spoken to Henry and he's said yes, Barca will be punished

£17 million for Henry at 30 is a great deal for Arsenal.

Not compared to how much Milan ot for Sheva.
There were always a few doubts over whether Henry-RVP would work as a partnership, if Henry does leave then I have faith that Wenger will bring in a suitable replacement

But Sheva was a year younger, Chelsea we're the club buying and he came off the back of a good season.

how reliable are france football?
To be honest, I've got the feeling henry is finally leaving for barca after reading Adebayor's comment today
what barca should do now is sell eto'o to us, cos they fully know he's leaving anyway.

no they wont. if use the same method madrid use they wont get punished. also i think clubs tend to try and ask the players first if they want to join before trying to make a bid.Tweedle wrote:Again...

Of course they do.. the clubs will talk to the agents before putting in a formal offer. It only gets sanctioned when the player starts forcing his way out by refusing to train/play etc., or if the player is seen in public discussing with reps from another club.
If it wasn't like that it would be completely random whether a transfer would happen..

Re: Top European Clubs - Transfer Tracker!
Yeah, Tweedle, it's not as simplistic as the Chelsea-Cole issue...i'm still amazed that the press managed to convert that into a big scandal that screwed Chelsea.
Fact is, especially on the continent, clubs always speak to agents first to determine the player's interest, put forward a tentative contract offer, and only after a verbal agreement do they contact the club to begin negotiation on a transfer fee.
As for the other news regarding Barça in this thread, f@ck
I doubt we were going to sign Andrade, but now we know he's not even available. And Ustari, well again, we weren't going to sign him, but if $h!t happens in the next season or two with Valdes, we'll have to either sign someone new, or rely on the old 3rd choice keeper Vallejo or Molina who we're looking to bring in this summer. I don't rate Jorquera.

that fans should understand henry if he leaves, cos he's been in the team for a long time now, he went on to explain that we already have RVP who is amazing and will even be better next season. Ade and henry are very close, i am sure he already knows what henry wants to do, he'd have just dismissed those rumours if they lacked any substance.
I have just had a look at some arsenal boards, it looks like france football are a very serious paper who don't print out Cr@p as papers like the sun and others do.

Well, why did he extend his contract just last year then, talking about Arsenal being 'his' club and what not?
Sometimes I wonder why contracts actually exist in this business at all. Nobody cares about them anyway.

first of all calderon is an idiot and i dont know his style of getting playres except saying out loud but i know how perez did it.Tweedle wrote:The method that's got you in a load of trouble over Robben you mean?
for example with viera he sent a third part to talk with his agent thus not making it illegal. and it has worked several times. and i lets what happens to calderon over those comments about robben. my gues is nothing.
