Chivu has denied Inter or Barca, insists that he will stay at Roma... but admits difficulties in extending the contract
kas wrote:bluenine wrote:Leave Chivu alone or we will take Messi away and the only thing left of your name will be "ah"Messiah wrote:Barcelona are moving to trump Inter Milan for want-away Roma defender Cristian Chivu.
The Romania international has pulled out of talks this week over a new Roma contract after Inter tabled a bumper deal to his representatives.
However, Chivu is also delaying more negotiations with Inter after Barca made their interest known to one of his agents, Iaon Becali. TGcom says Barca's offer is attractive and has forced Chivu and his agents to take a step back and consider their next move.
Roma had intended to offer Chivu a deal worth £1.5 million-a-year, however the Romania international is seeking a clear £1 million-a-season more and can count on both Inter and Barca meeting his demands.
Latest rumours are that after hearing of his move to Inter, Barcelona got in touch and made our possible interest known...so that is why his move to Inter has not been finalised just yet. Any further developments will probably come after La Liga ends.

Almiron on Juve trail
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sergio Almiron and Vincenzo Iaquinta could be announced as Juventus players over the next few days. The deal for the Udinese striker has been known for some time and only details remain between the two clubs.
“In one, at the most two weeks, we will make official the signing of a major Italian champion,” said President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli. Former Bianconeri boss Didier Deschamps also admitted as much just days before his departure, noting he had not requested nor required the services of Iaquinta.
New boss Claudio Ranieri is more enthusiastic about the arrival and is also close to capturing another Serie A star. Empoli midfielder Almiron has been linked with Inter and Milan, but it looks as if Juventus have won the race for the Argentine talent. It’s reported that a deal has been struck that would see Bianconeri youngsters Matteo Paro, Sebastian Giovinco and Rej Volpato loaned out to Empoli along with a cash bid.

Bayern paid 9m EUR for Jansen at least (some sources say up to 12m EUR), that's ~6.1m pounds minimum. They paid up to 10m EUR for Sosa also (~6.8m pounds), and Altintop was a free transfer.

Actually, according to SZ Sosa cost only 6m €, Jansen 10m.

That's why I said "up to 10m EUR" for Sosa, because other sources mentioned that sum. In both cases, it's probably a variable price, depending on Bayern's success in future.

@ Blut
Welcome back, you have been missed!
What are the possibilities of Klose moving to Bayern this Summer, I can't remember who said it but they said it would be completed by next year at the latest when his contract expires, will Bayern pay money for him this Summer?
Is Ze Roberto a certain deal too.

Re: Top European Clubs - Transfer Tracker!
Thank you Cesc, good to be back.
Klose will most probably leave this summer, because both the fans and Werder players are fed up about his behaviour. But we'll only sell him if the price is right, which means 15m EUR minimum. If Bayern really want him that much, they should stop this ridiculous show (what happened in the last few months was bad enough already) and just pay the price. Lyon are supposedly interested now also, and willing to pay the price we demand.
Ze Roberto is a certain deal, yes.

Andrade In Madrid For Real Medical
Reports out of Spain suggest Real Madrid are expected to wrap up the signing of Deportivo la Coruna defender Jorge Andrade.
The Portuguese international was spotted in Madrid this morning, adding substance to reports that he could be set to complete a move to the 'White House'.
Andrade, 29, has spent five seasons at Deportivo since joining from Porto in 2002, though he missed almost one full year of action due to a nasty knee injury picked up in February 2006.
Barca are also in the fray this summer, but Real Madrid seem to have clinched the deal by offering to send their young players to Depor in return.
Andrade is worth 12 million euros, though the price could come down with Roberto Soldado, and possibly even De la Red moving to the Riazor, most probably on loan.
Deportivo are said to be pushing for a permanent transfer, keen to snap up promising young players on the cheap, and then sell them for a great price after a good season, as they did with Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa.
A permanent transfer with Los Merengues having the first refusal could be the way forward. Real Madrid are likely to delay a formal announcement until next week.
Also Ustari will sign for Villarreal.

Re: Top European Clubs - Transfer Tracker!
If Inter are indeed thinking of replacing Adriano, I would put my wishlist as follows:
1. Tevez (Talent wise, as good as any. Ideal replacements, the argies suit us better than the brasilians anyways!!)
2. Klose (The new Klinsi?? I think Klose will easily build a rapport with the fans)
3. Quagliarella/Pazzini (I like the look of these young azzurri strikers).

Rumour is that the deal is practically done, and only Arsenal have to say yes. The papers seem to believe that would be the end of Eto'o's stint at Barcelona.
They believe his destination will be Milan.

well if Eto'o left Henry, then it would a be an idiotic signing rather than an exciting one.. Still Eto'o isn't going anywhere.. He will be wearing blaugrana for sure next season.
Still Henry isn't coming. It is just the papers making up rumours as usual.

I can see Eto'o definitely stay. But papers in both countries seem sure he is leaving. Gazzetta claims Milan are ready to offer 40 mill to Barcelona and give Eto'o a very lucrative contract.

In Spain they don't report that Eto'o is leaving anymore after he came out a couple of times saying that he wants to stay. In Italy I guess it is just an attempt to sell papers, just like when the Madrid papers report that Kaká is dreaming of joining Real. Or the Barcelona papers are sure that Henry is dying to join..
