Re: Chelsea Sign Pizzaro
Bad move by the Mancs! Pizarro's game's just what the doctor ordered for Cristiano and Rooney.
I'm convinced Mourinho also saw that, and decided to kill two birds with one stone. The Mancs don't get him, and Jose strenghtens his own team. Very clever move by Jose!

No, we need another striker even if he stays for ACoN cover.
COTR wrote:Crespo>>>>> pizarro
Obviously, but there's not a lot you can do when a player refuses to live in England.
Not a bad deal on a free. Basically we are adding good squad players like him & Sidwell who are prepared to sit on the bench, both for ACoN cover and in case we have injuries. I don't think our first team needs much changing tbh, just a bit better cover so pretty pleased so far.

btw this deal isn't actually confirmed AFAIK, but it looks to be only a case of details.

115 grand a week isn't enough for him
he is sure to get more elsewhere
lampard leaving would be the best thing that could happen for chelsea this summer, but jose will not let it happen

Pizarro brings lots more to the table than Crespo. I know that, and Jose knows that. That's why Jose has no qualms with offloading Crespo for another year. He has his man in Pizarro. He always wanted Pizarro in his team.
I know football. Jose obviously knows football. Pizarro is a better player than Crespo. I know it, and Jose knows it. You all don't know it.

I do have a soft spot for Liverpool. What now COTR! I'm torn, I have to kiss and make up with Rosy. I've got no problems with that. Nevertheless, I'd be supporting Kevin's team, Ballack's team, and what's his name's team!
OH FFS! You see what happens COTR! The Mancs should've gotten Pizarro.

Re: Chelsea Sign Pizzaro
I don't mind if Lampard stays, he'll always do a job in the Premiership. It's just that he and Jose must realise that for the CL, there are better players not being given as much of a chance because of Lampard.
Crespo is only on loan to Inter, he hasn't been sold. The deal was that he would be at Inter for 2 seasons, with the option of coming back at the end of the first. Since he doesn't appear comfortable in England, it's likely he'll be sold off.
I already told you all, Sheva will be more suited to the Prem next season. He won't score 20+ league goals, but he'll get 12-15. If Pizarro can get a similar amount (10-12), Drogba can get 15-20, Lampard 10-15, Robben & Joe Cole 5-10, I'll be very happy.

Re: Chelsea Sign Pizzaro
Pizarro is a decent acquisition. Inferiour to Crespo of course but still very good.
I personally hope that Kalou becomes the 2nd striker till the ACN, let Pizarro get his turn in January.

Crespo really never worked for Chelsea though. Not as bad as Sheva, but never a patch on the quality he showed in Italy.
