SSN said £70,000 a week...at first Newcastle were offering £50,000 which is why he said he'll talk to other clubs. Now they offered £70,000 and deal is done.

The debt from our stadium exapnsion yes. We have a new owner coming in aswell, big deal, it doesn't change the fact that the club will make less of a profit when it's paying wages like this - if you're happy with 1 man footing your clubs bills then fine, i'm not.

It's Fat Fred that deals with the contract negotiations though, and that's what the problem is.

Like I said in previous threads, others leagues do not have to worry about the new increased wealth of the PL. Most of the money will be spent on average players who the mangers know can do a job in the PL and wont need any adapting time. One of my friends thought £18m for Andrew Johnson was worth it because he has potential to be better than Owen . I ended the 'debate' there. The only way to stop this hyperinflation it not wages caps -which can be dealt with by giving 'gifts' of such things like houses and cars - but ticket price caps . Is the only way to reduces the ridiculous amounts of money in the game.

it's horrible, but it's no surprise, that he's on huge wages. players always get overpaid when the transfer fee is lower than might be expected (he'd have cost as much as/more than parker if it hadn't been for the clause & man city wanting him out)
