It's true we signed him. NOS ('Dutch BBC') report it too.kas wrote:According to this article (and the Korean club's president), you did sign Lee Chun Soo after all. 2 million euros.

Hope he proves me worng. Was happy with our squad & only wanted serious reinforcement. Didn't have Lee in mind. Still very happty with how we did this transfer window. We seriously improved as shown in our performances.
we were rumoured to be after 10 players, Bouaouzan was 1 of them.

Why they hell did Jansen attended 10000 matches last summer to watch all kind of players....he is clearly unable for the task he is given to.
Fire him...and then sneaky f@ck of a Bosz...yesterday he was given us hope by saying that the Gook signing was a rumour...
Both add nothing to this club and need to be fired. In the business world you dont get 10000 chances either. Fucktards.

Re: Feyenoord 2007/2008
Never liked Jansen after his betrayal (moving to Ajax). Apart from that I haven't seen ANY signings due to his 'great network'. Blame him & Bosz to for the disgraceful sacking of real Feyenoord legend Henk Fraser. Won't shed a tear if tram 23 runs over them. Had a chat with somebody from FSV before the Utrecht - Feyenoord match & he was convinced the architects of the recent deals (excl Lee) were GKL & Rob Janssen.Fey wrote:Why they hell did Jansen attended 10000 matches last summer to watch all kind of players....he is clearly unable for the task he is given to.

Maybe Van Marwijk can become TD in the future, when Been is ready to take over.

At least Van Gaal will work his magic. Although there should be a contract clause, that if you want to be developed by Van Gaal you should be eligible for Oranje. Otherwise they're just wasting a spot a Dutchie could have used.Fey wrote:El Hamdoui to AZ

Re: Feyenoord 2007/2008
That first line is already pissing me of!! Better that half of fucking Seoul buys a shirt with his name on it. Then we will have that 2 mil back quite soon.

The duration doesn't matter. Moneywise it will not be a problem either, he'll pay for himself by the shirts we sell overthere. Could be a gamble that turns out great, but I wouldn't have signed him.DD wrote:4 seasons is a lot.

Park Ji Sung was brilliant in the latter part of his PSV career. Nakamura is also doing very well at Celtic, don't take these Asian players lightly, they can play.

True. But we had the best Asian player of the last decade Shinji Ono. Flawless technique and part of our UEFA cup victory team. But Asians play too many international games..and then they come back tired or injured again

Re: Feyenoord 2007/2008
I have to admit that this one actually resembles something of a talent, so it may work out.kas wrote:He may become a Park Ji Sung
Park was best at PSV, he had much more freedom; ever since he moved to United he's played like a castrated player - very polite with no bollocks. The difference between him at PSV and United is almost night and day - at United he's more of a watercarrier so perhaps you could see he does his role well. He's still quite good there though - very underrated and good value too.
Nakamura is currently the only Asian I actually think does really add enough to possibly improve a team.

Re: Feyenoord 2007/2008
Whenever I see Park playing for Man. Utd, only one image comes to my mind - a fan who's won a competition to spend a day playing with his idols at Old Trafford. He's just so overawed, and like you said, "polite", that he doesn't really show his full ability. Like a teenage girl going giddy in the presence of a film star, etc.

Don't forget the greatest Korean footballer of all & Bundesliga legend Bum Kun Cha. Voted best Asian player of the century.Cesc wrote:

Cha started his career in Bundesliga (considered the best league of the world at the time) at the age of 27. In December 1978, Cha was transferred to German side SV Darmstadt, where he spent less than a year before being snapped up by Bundesliga team Eintracht Frankfurt. Cha made an immediate impact with his new club, scoring in three consecutive games. His team went on to win the UEFA Cup in the 1979/80 season. He was widely considered as one of the best forwards in the Bundesliga during his career. He became the third-highest-paid soccer player in Germany. During 1981 season, in a game against Leverkusen, he suffered a near-career-ending knee injury.
In 1983 he was transferred to Bayer Leverkusen. With Bayer Levekusen, he won a second UEFA Cup in 1988. Cha scored a dramatic equalizer against Espanol to tie the game 3:3. 50,000 fans chanted "Cha Boom." Leverkusen eventually went on to win the game on penalties.
Cha retired in 1989 after a long Bundesliga career spanning 308 games in which he scored 98 goals (none from penalty kicks), then the highest for a foreign player in the league. During his 10 year career, he received only one yellow card.
Feyenoord (we had a decent team too those days) played against Eintracht in the UEFA Cup. He was freaking class both matches. They trashed us 4-1 in Germany, he nearly did it on his own. We would have won the return leg by far more than 1-0 if we would have been a little bit more lucky and most of all if Cha Boom hadn't kept our defence busy on his own. Was a great match. Still 67,000 spectators in de Kuip those days.

Cha is a true legend in Frankfurt. They signed his (much less talented) son just because of his status there.

Just a shame how he's playing at United though - he's NEVER shown what he's capable of. He plays very polite: does his job ably, always looks for his team mates to pass to. At United he has lost all his arrogance, to become a perfect watercarrier but it has made him a worse player IMO. He hardly ever goes for the goal anymore!Cesc wrote:

At times last season his finishing let him down , if what you say resulted in that its a worry , not guaranteed 1st team action and harder this season , he does add something to the team and is a good option.
