But Calderón really is a nutter.. he tries to act like Florentino but simply doesn't have the grace or brains of the former president.
Yeah, Calderon tries to be like Perez in attracting the player to Madrid first, making negotiation with the club easier. But the circumstances have changed, and the way he does it is all wrong. Mouthing off to newspapers is different to writing "would you like to play for madrid" on a paper napkin and passing it to Zidane at a charity dinner.
Perez was waaaay to clever for everyone. He knew Becks liked Zidane, so he told Zizou before the game at OT to swap shirts with Becks at the end of the match, so Zizou asked, as soon as he got the chance to ask him.
You think that's the reason he left?

I think it was part of it.. Nobody came close the Real at that point, and when their star shows you special attention, while you know from your agent that they are willing to spend billions on your salary, it becomes very tempting

So what do you think, will Schuster finally be crowned tomorrow?

It's not the major reason he left though.

The secretary who dared to speak out got death threats, and the court case got cancelled or something like that. Last I heard, the issue just got shoved under the rug.

Marca says tomorrow morning he will pay Getafe the 480,000 euros and be presented by Real Madrid the same day.
Metzelder also arrived in Madrid today, and will have his medical tomorrow.

Oh yeah because of Zizou
I was merely pointing out another assist from Zizou in a transfer like he did for McManaman deal.

He will not been on Barcelona Christmas list this year .. i.e. telling his players they should have 'bought Messi down' in the Copa del Rey match and now he is the coach of Real Madrid , can we expect fireworks
btw , Schuster wants Fabregas

yes indeed. I am looking forward to it as well.
Cesc (or his agent) has been ungraciously flirting with RM for two years now. he even said he hoped RM would become champions because of his friend Reyes. I for one don't want to see him back at Barça.

Good, pressure is already on him. Slightest hint of defensive football or safety-first tactics, and we'll be on our way again

The worst part of Schuster is that we will most likely be signing Saviola. I don't have anything against Saviola in terms of his playing but we have so many withdrawn forwards as it is and there is part of me that suspects he is just after a big payday. I'd rather play Higuain and I think I'd even keep Baptista before I signed Saviola, if it were up to me.
Lot's of work to do...Bernd says there have been conversations but it needs to accelerate now. Only 10 days until the beginning of preseason...

No need to suspect, it's probably true. Plus the chance to piss us off is probably too big for him to pass up.
