Everyone has their own version of what constitutes to a World Class player, my definition is a “World Class player is one whose own individual skill/brilliance inspires his team to success with consistent performances over a long period of time” and "A player who is one of the very best in his position in the world at a particular time." not many can fall into these categories at this moment in time.

I am Portuguese and i state CR as one of my favorite players hey he might even be my favorite but theres no way he is WC yet and i clearly remember it took Figo a long time to be recognized as WC

You win the Ballon d’Or if you have a great year (should be phenomenal going on to eye-catching .. these awards can work like this), showing World Class performances. Ronaldo has done that, but in the purest form is he World Class. Consistency added to his game over a long period of time would make sure he will be, even the most die-hard Man United fans would admit he is not yet; he will be as he improves as a player.
