This happens when you’re linked with a English club these days your price sky rockets, as a investment yeah £20M is no problem, before the English link other clubs in Europe were scouting him, some bureaucrat in Zagreb decided they want £20M or so for him.

Its a price you have to pay for a player of his creativity in his position and at his age. Look at what Bayern paid for Ribery for instance.

There's a difference between buying from the French league and buying from the Croatian league.

Whoever buys him will need at least £16m+ IMO.

According to the Croatian media Mamic will be in London for four days, so we may know where he will end up very soon.

£16m+ is no problem for us if Sven thinks he is worth it. Still after getting Castillo i will be a bit surprised if we get him cos we have quite a few attacking mids, anyway in Sven we trust.

We have shown in the past we wont be ripped off and will only pay what Sven think a player is worth. I know Grip has been scouting him a lot and obviously Sven can always ask Corluka for his opinion.

Having Corluka at the club could be something that really helps us out if it turns into a battle to sign him with Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal.

Yeah, I thought the same when we were trying to sign Petrov, what with fellow Bulgarian Berbatov at ours. Fucker still went to City in the end

If we get Modric, it'll even things out nicely, although I doubt even our board would spend 20million on him
