Ronaldo to Madrid. Any truth? Empty Ronaldo to Madrid. Any truth?

Post by Tweesus Thu Jan 03, 2008 1:52 pm

Firstly, I hope this isn't true.

I'm not Man Utd's biggest fan, and I don't like his on field antics, but he has brought a lot to the premiership, in terms of flambouyancy and class. He certainly has the potential to win a few WPOTY awards.

Reports in the press seem to be building though about him possibly joining Madrid (c**ts).

I hate Madrid, almost as much as I hate Roma, purely because they're a bunch of Francoist c**ts that seem to get away with murder because of their governmental links and seem happy to tap up player willy nilly.

The Express today are even running a story saying that they have already made a deal with Ronaldo's agents (c**ts).

We had the same problems with Madrid over the summer when Calderon came out and stated that they would try and do their upmost to sign Cesc and used the exact same tactics (c**ts).

His mate Heinze has gone to Real, but now he has got two new mates in Anderson and Nani, i think he will still be a Man Utd player next season.

If Real have a good season then they might feel that they do not need Ronaldo.

But then the rumours of Barca wanting Ronaldo to replace Ronaldinho will start.

I don't think Barcelona have the £50m+ needed for Ronaldo. Even if they did they wouldn't spend it on one player. They need a fullback like Lahm. I think they will replace Ronaldinho with someone like Diego from Werder Bremen.

Ronaldo will stay with Man Utd for the forseeable future anyway. Only later on in his career will he probably get his Spanish move.

I expect them to at least test the water with this though.

Ronaldo has shown that last season wasn't a one off. He's currently one of the top 3 players in the world and Real Madrid, at least in their mind, see themselves as having a greater pulling power than Utd (and well, pretty much anyone...)

The Telegraph are saying that a bid of £45m will be placed. Its a hell of a lot, but personally, I think he's actually worth more than that to you.

I can't imagine you being anywhere near as good as you are without him

This is incorrect, Calderon is of proper birth and while his mother does not, by my knowledge, have AIDS there is rumour about that she once had a spat with genital herpes.

Look this story came out last week in AS. Before yesterday there hadn't been any matches in Spain in almost two weeks, writers were bored, etc, etc.

    The rumours continue.

I am in 2 minds. Part of me would obviously like him to go, but £45m could buy some decent players.

Hopefully Ronaldo goes to Real on 31 Jan at 11:59 so they have no time to arrange a replacement, then the Glazers take half the cash to pay off debt, and the rest goes on world-beaters like Carrick and Djemba-Djemba.

Ronaldo would certainly develop with an example like Robinho to look up to. ok

If we used all 45 million then why sell in the first place? The guy maybe worth 45 mill but his value is a lot more. Could we find a better player than ronaldo willing to join...nope. Would man utd sell....nope. Will he be leaving....nope. He wants to stay so there's no chance of it happening. I will personally pay 5k to Liverpool football club if ronaldo leaves this summer. We have players in every position and money......there is not one logical reason to sell a player who is very marketable and one of the best if not the best in the world.

Whether it's paper talk, or United want to sell him or not does not matter. The only one to make this decission is Cristiano. If he wants to go, United will sell him. Then it's only a price that needs to be agreed, and with his marketting value, almost any fee will be acceptable to the buying club.

This is a nothing story. Calderon moves from Kaka to Ronaldo, If Los Burros want Ronaldo they would have to double what they paid Juventus for Zizou methinks. That’s how much Ronaldo is valued by Manchester United.

Calderon talks about Ronaldo, and how great he is.

Ronaldo says nice things about La Liga.

The next day, the papers start talking. I think he will not leave next season. United love him, and he loves United. He is their star player, and he earns good money. He plays in a top league.

I think, however, that in 2010 or 2011 he will leave.

I hope he stays, it'd be a loss for the EPL and he's one of my favourite players (despite playing for the mancs). But as roger hunt said, i doubt utd would sell unless he made it clear he wanted to leave.
