Simao is such a c**t. I don't know why Atleti even bother with him given how shite he usually plays for them.

First half belonged to Atletico, second half to Fulham.

Murphy has been awful, I've literally lost count of how many times he's given the ball away, and that too by just attempting fairly simple 5-10 yard passes in midfield.

Bizarrely, Atletico look quite tired in the 2nd half. Several occasions in attack where the strikers are just walking rather than making runs.

And while Fulham are being careful at the back and not getting too gung-ho in attack, Atletico are getting nervous. This made extra time inevitable as far back as the 60th min or so.

Ref has been v. good, but helped by the fact that both teams have fairly "normal" players (Reyes has not dived tonight) and there's no real animosity between them.

Fairly cynical and unpleasant there from Aguero.

Thankfully this ref has had an excellent game.

Thanks, that's how much this competition has declined in value I guess.

And I thought you liked German tears of defeat - especially this, a defeat of the rivals of the most Dutch team in the Bundesliga!

How did Atletico f@ck that up Laughing

Atletico need to stop being so nervous and push forward some more, they have much more talent so should be able to win this without the penalty lottery.

Seems quite unfair for this game to be settled on penalties if it does get to that. Would be harsh on whoever loses.

And there you go...when Atletico push forward with conviction, their individual talent makes the difference. Great little finish by Forlan. If Atletico hang on, it'll be more or less a fair result - the team with more quality won. Fulham were only arguably better in defense.

Hughes stands off Aguero and gives him all the space he wants to find Forlan. Shocking stuff.

It has been a pretty awful final.
