Bale and Rose. Direct but potentially very scary.

I couldn't get to sleep last night, so this was the England team I came up with:

    ------------Hart----------
    Kelly-Terry-Ferdinand-Cole
    ---Wilshere-Huddlestone---
    Johnson----Rooney----Young
    ----------Carrol----------

    Justifications:

Kelly has looked rather solid in defence, and with that team, there's less of an onus on having such an attack minded full back. Also two Johnson's on the same flank would just be confusing.

Lots of people have said that Johnson isn't ready to start for club and country. They probably have a point, but here's a player who can take people on, go inside or outside from the wing. There aren't very many English players like that, so I think we should play them. Walcott only has his uses in specific situations and Lennon just manages to be inconsistent.

Rooney - basically playing part of a midfield three. Dont really see why he cant do this and would only have to be really disciplined against top sides. Played a lot deeper with Man Utd this season too.

Carrol - better than Bent there. Offers a lot more.
