Wasn't really that bad. another night we win 3-0. That's our problem though, we always seem to have the one day or one night which is the 1 in 100 rather than the other 99 times. Happened vs Villa, happened last night and happened both times vs City where we made the most stupid, brainless error to cost us the 3 points both times.

If it keeps happening it ain't a 1 in 100 event - it's being bad at finishing and inconsistent at defending.

If we had taken one of our early chances against you we'd have walked it. Same as last night. How can one week we demolish Sunderland or Norwich or Fulham then the next we can't out away 1 chance in 15 or more against you or West Brom? It's a mentality issue. We managed to finish chances a lot of other times but not when the game goes 60 minutes without our break-through whereas stronger mentality teams like United, Spurs and Everton could still score in the dying embers of the game.

Then comes the inevitable goal conceded and then bang, we fall to absolute pieces every single time.

Yes it's mentality and it's also teams seeing this happen before & coming to Anfield with belief which they don't have at Old Trafford. But all I'm saying is that it ain't a fluke if it keeps happening. You could just as easily flip the 'if' around and say that if you'd been as bad as you often are at taking chances in the Norwich game you would've ended up losing 0-1 rather than winning 5-0.

Have to admire Pool fans for sticking by their new manager. But for rest of us, Dalglish is one for delusions but certainly not one for pretentions on lines of false-GK, 4-0-2-0-1-3, etc..

I thought we played well, it wasn't until the penalty miss that it occurred to me that we might not win. West Brom defended brilliantly, it was a real smash and grab. Their first shot on goal was after 80 minutes, which resulted in the corner they scored from.

Enrique really suffered when Henderson went off, I don't know if he was tired or if it was a lack of protection but he was horrible for the last 20 minutes. The rest of the squad looks great, I was delighted with our bench. The squad looks better than it has in a while, perhaps the defense needs some reinforcements but other than that we're all set. Next year is our year.

    Got to be joking.

Lucas doesn't tackle, he just runs around aimlessly bumping into players conceding free kicks.

Aggers marking has started to cost us goals, although a good player, he's playing far too inconsistent.

    Borini is shite.

    Coates is absolute shite.

Our full backs and two strikers plus Sterling are the only players punching above their weight.

no, I like our squad now. I'd buy a new left back, or some young competition for Enrique but other than that there's no emergency surgery required.

    Bench last night

Jones I don't rate, I would have liked us to sign and loan out Butland.

    Wisdom is 19
    Skrtl

    Coutinho is 20
    Allen is is 22
    Sterling is 18
    Borini is 21

then you've got Suso, Kelly and Coates who are still very young. Flanagan, Robinson, Morgan, Yesil, Assaidi, Sinclair, Coady - the bodies are there, it just needs to become a team.

'BBC Sport's Alistair Magowan' seems to have a filthy penchant for Jamie Carragher's noise-making, judging by the BBC's live text for tonight's game. Steven Reid was lucky not to score an own-goal after a Liverpool corner.

All Liverpool Fans assured us the return of Lucas would mean the 4th CL spot Grr , instead he's like Hargreaves for England (a hero for a couple of months then nothing).

I am not having having the Sterling punching above his weight, unless it is a reference to how light he is or the woman he allegedly punched. A number of players have been better, such as Henderson.

Laudrup has had an absolute shitter, there was no need to rest so many players with the final not being until next sunday. Bartley, Monk, Tiendalli, Agustien, Lamah, and Shechter had 19 starts between them this season before today, they had no chance of winning.

Coutinho is world class. Is there a better DM then Lucas? Agger+Skrtel=SOLID. Gerrard still has it. Suarez best player in the League. Sterling, is there a more talented player at his age then him?

Anyway, like kimmy says. It was against a 2nd string Swansea so lets wait a while and lets see if the top10 curse is really broken.

Even with 5 goals, I still reckon Liverpool were wasteful in attack (they had 27 shots of which only 7 were on target) and didn't get the chance to make a mistake in the defence since Swansea didn't attack them.

Also I see that Stevie Me let Sturridge have the 2nd penalty so he'd score a goal (after messing up several chances to score and getting frustrated). What a headline grabbing selfish git Erm

I bet he trawled through thousands of negative ones to find the very few positive ones. Most of the things he said referred to him in some way. A few gems:

"Coutinho trying a Cryuff flick there"
"Coutinho reminds me of Aimar from when I played"
"Stevie Gerrard will be more relieved then happy to score that pen; I've been there many times where I've missed a pen the previous game then step up to take one in the next game"
"Liverpool haven't scored enough goals this season" (we're 4th top scorers in the league, only 1 behind 3rd top scorers Arsenal)

And then he tried his hand in interviewing Carragher and Rodgers, trying not to grin like a moron when Rodgers said Sturridge gives us what Owen used to give us.
