Incredible the direction this is going in with Allardyce and Bruce being interviewed. It seems to be "they have to be British, unless their first name is Jurgen". We're going to end up with a worse coach than Roy. Laughing Howe seems to be the only hope.

Fat Sham to coach England. A lot of people will be shocked, but I think it's a perfect fit and here's why: Fat Sham has won f**k all and England have won f**k all - and both are so deluded they are convinced they belong with the elite in football. lol!

The following is the records of countries since the telly showed the major international tournaments in colour beginning with World Cup 1970, including every Copa America since 1975 and Euros since 1972. *(Copa America 2001 held in Colombia was originally cancelled due to security concerns, Argentina and Canada withdrew; Costa Rica and Honduras took their place. Every team except Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras and the hosts Colombia sent experimental sides.) [# times champion, runner-up, 3rd or 4th place finish].

    Brazil [8 – 4 – 5]
    W.Germany/Germany [6 – 6 - 6]
    Argentina [4 – 6 – 2]
    Uruguay [4 – 2 – 6*]
    France [3 – 2 - 3]
    Spain [3 – 1 - 0]
    Italy [2 – 4 – 4]
    Chile [2 – 2 – 2]
    Netherlands [1 – 3 - 6]
    Colombia [1* – 1 – 6]
    Portugal [1 – 1 - 5]
    Paraguay [1 – 1 – 3]
    Czechoslovaquia/Czech Rep. [1 – 1 - 2]
    Peru [1 – 0 – 5]
    Denmark [1 – 0 - 1]
    Greece [1 – 0 - 0]

    USSR/Russia [0 – 2 - 1]
    Mexico [0 – 1* – 3]
    Belgium [0 – 1 - 2]
    Bolivia [0 – 1 – 0]
    England [0 – 0 - 2]
    Poland [0 – 0 - 2]
    Sweden [0 – 0 - 2]
    Turkey [0 – 0 – 2]
    USA [0 – 0 – 2]
    Bulgaria [0 – 0 - 1]
    Croatia [0 – 0 - 1]

    Hungary [0 – 0 - 1]
    Venezuela [0 – 0 – 1]
    Wales [0 – 0 – 1]
    Yugoslavia [0 – 0 - 1]

If you observe carefully, England is like Sunderland. Here comes the hoof with Fat Scam! Laugh Laugh Laugh

I do agree with some people that this could be the best thing to happen, as we'll either do well (we won't do well) or be absolutely shit like usual and Sam will be an embarrassment. Shuts him up, shuts up the fans who think having a Mike Bassett in charge is the way forward and it'll be two English managers in a row doing a shit job. Maybe we'll finally just give up on the idea.

Who knows, opinions on the national team seem to be more fickle than I thought, all through the 00's the argument was "we're too direct, we need to learn how to retain possession, it's vital in hot summer tournaments, all the top teams are good at it", that seems to be completely forgotten, no one is even mentioning it. I thought we pumped £100m or whatever it was into that St George's Park project to develop some sort of football philosophy.

Another thing that's annoying me is all these charlatans in the media talking about Sam being a modern innovator because he learns from NFL teams and uses data analysts. He came to Newcastle with 2 dozen staff, one of the biggest backroom staffs in the game........ and we sat back and pumped it long every time, so wtf. Derby got 11 points in that season, 4 of them came from us including their only win, because we seemed to play for a draw every time. Pardew as well always had some gimp with a laptop next to him analyzing data/playing solitaire, it didn't do much good.

England have never known when to move on from these big name players, there's even talk of Sam wanting Terry back. I find it pointless people arguing about Allardyce's squad and who should be picked though, England are a write off with him in charge, it's not possible that all this ends well.
