First things first, I am glad to see that David Bentley, Nicky Shorey and Phil Jagielka are all included in the squad I think they deserve it.

I don't understand the logic of calling up Paul Robinson when we could be looking at Scott Carson. Maybe we are that short of quality goalkeepers.

Secondly what is Phil Neville doing there? He has been in the set-up since 1998 and we already know what he can do. Maybe he is the only fit right back we have?

This should be a trail run for new players and those who have missed out on England for a while like Michael Owen and Ledley King.

I've just checked and the last league game in Germany is on the 19th, 6 days after our last games.

& the fixture for this game is on the 25th May.

Picking Hargreaves is just bizarre!

What is the point of this?
Why does Owen need to play in a pointless B international?
And why isn't Steven Taylor in there? Surely he's earnt a bit of recognition by now.

i think he's generally avoided u21 players

milner should be in there though
